Die Wendeltreppe ist um einen toten Baum geschnitzt, in dessen Mitte sich die Wurzeln befinden. Das Haus verfügt über 3 Schlafzimmer plus ein Schlafboden, 2 Badezimmer, eine moderne Küche mit Edelstahlgeräten und Holzarbeitsplatten sowie einen gemütlichen Holzofen und befindet sich auf dem 32 Hektar großen Gelände der Moose Lodge and Cabins, zusammen mit der Moose Lodge und die Bärenhütte Große Gruppen können alle 3 für ein wirklich einzigartiges Erlebnis mieten! Umgeben vom White Mountain National Forest und dem Fluss Ammonoosuc ist das Anwesen ein Paradies für Vogelbeobachter und Tierliebhaber mit häufigen Sichtungen von Bären und Elchen. Es ist ein zertifizierter Lebensraum für Wildtiere und wir arbeiten mit lokalen Experten und der Bundesregierung zusammen, um die einzigartige biologische Vielfalt dieses Grundstücks zu gewährleisten, das wunderschöne Feuchtgebiete, Beaver-Teiche, Vernal-Pools, verschiedene Bäche, Balsam-Tannen und umfasst rote Fichtenwälder, Ahornhaine und natürlich die Flussfront mit ihren zahlreichen Stränden für den Genuss unserer Gäste. We loved this house! The located was incredible, tucked away and wooded, with walking trails, water access, hot tub, and easy access to surrounding ski resorts/restaurants/shops. General set up of the house was nice, it's a circular home so as to be expected it was a tighter fit. We stayed one night so it was perfect. We brought our (hypoallergenic) dog, and generally stay away from this due to allergies, but the home was fairly pet hair free from past guests. I would love to come back and stay in the larger home on the property. In order for us to stay longer with kids, I would need access to laundry. My only complaint is the king bed- the pillow top was comfortable but severely concave. My husband and I kept rolling into the middle. Mattresses are not that expensive, please consider a new one for a more comfortable stay for guests. All in all we had a lovely time, thank you for sharing this home with us!

This is a lovely property in a beautiful part of NH. We loved the cozy style of the house, the fire pit, and the hot tub option (though we didn't use it). It's centrally located to some beautiful sites. The kitchen items were all very clean, which we appreciated, as we cooked every meal at the house. Unfortunately, when we got ready for bed the first night, we discovered that the bed covers were quite unclean with multiple unpleasant stains (use your imagination) on three of the four covers we checked. These weren't old stains--it was clear the covers hadn't been washed. We messaged the property managers, and housekeeping brought clean bedding the next morning, but that did put a damper on an otherwise very nice stay. We were also pretty allergic in the beds. Once we got the bedding sorted, we were able to relax and enjoy our stay. The house also has a little ring toss game and mini foosball table, which was fun. One other note--the listing sort of makes it seem like the creek/river and beach are right by the house, but they aren't. It's on the property, but the property is quite large and includes multiple houses, trails, woods, etc. To get to the waterfront from the house, you have to walk about ten minutes through trails. It's pretty, but don't expect to see water from the house or go right out the back door to the river. Before posting this review, I reached out twice to the property managers, and did not receive any follow up.

Gorgeous house and locstion

This was our last vacation for our family before our oldest graduates and heads to college. We wanted a beautiful location with a nice house for family time and that is exactly what we got. The house is beautiful and clean with gorgeous views. The hot tub was a a nice bonus in a very unique house. We ran into two minor issues, the grill grates were completely rusted over no matter how hard I cleaned them and the few towels we found were tiny and not great. Literally, thats the only negative. Anyone not familiar with this area should note that groceries and most anything else is 25 minutes away and activities up there are all outdoor related, hiking fishing etc. We used some of the little paths around the property which were easy very short walks but didn’t venture beyond that for this trip as it was the in between season.

Not the secluded cabin we thought we would be staying at

The picnic table seat broke, it was rotten, the dumpster across the road smelled bad the entire stay and the well line broke Friday night which was a big hassle, had to move to another unit down the road at 11pm which wasn't fun and the hot tub had a bunch of sand in the bottom, the owners cabin across the road was really close, we thought this was more a cabin more secluded, and there are too many rules with fees, we should get some credit fees back for some of what we had to deal with, but we liked the cabin

Wonderful week again!

My wife and I stayed in the Owl Roost cabin for a week with a dog (Heidi) and we had a wonderful time hiking in the Whites during the afternoon, cooking meals in the cabin all week in kitchen with all necessary cooking utensils, reading books and watching movies at night. This is our second year in a row staying in this cabin and hope to be back again next summer!

Beautiful Cabin Summer Trip

I rented this log cabin for a getaway with my adult family in July. The Cabin was perfect as pictured. The log cabin was beautifully designed inside. It was clean . The hot tub was a hit for relaxing before bed. The location was great to explore some local waterfalls including the SILVER CASCADE & have a day trip to N CONWAY for dinner & OUTLET shopping. :)

The house is beautiful with access to the river and the grounds are landscaped. The hosts were very friendly and really put out the effort to welcome you. Definitely would recommend this property for your White Mountains stay.

Beautiful little getaway

The Owls Roost was a breath of fresh air and a tiny oasis in the mountains! The stay was quiet and tranquil! I loved the tiny trail behind our house I was able to take my dog on a beautiful walk a few times on the dry day!! We got some lovely pictures the view from the house Nextdoor was amazing!! I’m so thankful for the hot tub as we were unaware we were visiting during mud season and that most of the trails would not be dry enough for our little group to walk! We spent much of our visit relaxing in the hot tub, visiting the quant North Conway Village shops, playing games and cooking as a family! We have some light sleepers so the three rooms were helpful for getting quiet rest. The main reason we choose this spot is that we had a service animal as well as a puppy along for the trip. We were able to bring the dogs!!! It was very nice to meet the owners when we arrived as they happened to be in the front of their yard with their dog when we arrived. They were welcoming and made sure that we knew we could ask for help! Thank you for sharing your beautiful property!!!

Great little spot near the mountain

Had a wonderful time staying in the yurt! We go to BW as a family each year. This spot was as close as I could’ve hoped for, which was very handy when I left my boots behind getting the kids out the door our first day. The hot tub was a hit - relaxing the ole bones after a day on the mountain, with flurries coming down around us - fantastic. Kids loved the foosball, and with two sets of married adults, we appreciated the two full bathrooms. Definitely hope to stay here again.

Fabulous Mountain Getaway

The house was better than described. Spotlessly clean and cozy. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, a variety of utensils, and full-sized appliances, including a dishwasher. The property is beautiful, well-maintained, and quiet. Close to some great hiking like the Sugarloaf trails. Easy to communicate with managers (we loved the texting option!). We’ll definitely be back!

Excellent Spot right near MT Washington

Our family really enjoyed our stay. The location is minutes away from MT Washington, Golf Courses, Santa’s Village and several great hiking areas. We appreciated the central AC, which is not always an easy find in NH, and also enjoyed the video library and streaming services for evening relaxation or a way to keep the kids happy during the hottest parts of the day.

Great retreat in The Whites

We loved staying in this Yurt-like house with our kids! Whether its the short trip to Bretton Woods resort, the short drive to mt Washington or even walking around the property this stay could not have been in a better location. While at home the Owl's nest was cozy, wonderful and even nicer than online. We'd certainly come again!

We couldn't have been happier with the property. It was a last minute of change of plans after our trip to Jamaica was canceled by Covid-19. We all agreed that this was better than any beach vacation ever. We will be back next year for sure! House was as described and more!
