Beautiful Cottage

We enjoyed this beautiful cottage and scenic property. Just minutes to downtown Culpeper. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Would be nice to have a TV in the main room, but we did well without one.

Great Thanksgiving Family Trip

Loved this cottage on a beautiful property surrounded by farms and near the town of Culpeper. Upstairs are two bedrooms and they share a bathroom. There’s a beautiful open concept farmhouse kitchen and cozy living room. Downstairs is a den with a captains bed and it’s own bathroom. It’s quiet and beautiful and very comfortable. I think new beds and tv’s might be a good addition and the wifi is spotty but that’s understandable in the rural location. I would stay again in the future.

Love this little cottage and property

This was our third time at the cottage and first time with the new owners. Everything was easy going and even more fun than our last stay. Great walks in the woods,fun to see the chickens and ducks and dogs, and very comfortable accommodations. Kids loved it too

Adorable and cozy!

We had such a fun, relaxing weekend and it was only made better by our stay here! The cottage is adorable, clean, and cozy. The hosts thought of so many details we overlooked and were so accommodating. We also loved the ideas for restaurants and things to do that they personally recommend. We will definitely be back!

Weekend birthday celebration

Fall weekend getaway for my daughter’s 21st birthday. Area was perfect. We came from PA, my sister came from NC and we met up with our cousin from VA. Great food, wineries and weather. So glad I couldn’t find a hotel in the area. The cottage was perfect!

Charming, comfortable and clean

This is a wonderful home and beautiful property. The views from every window were lovely. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked some yummy meals and enjoyed each other’s company in the big open living and kitchen spaces. The beds were comfortable and the house was spotless. The house had everything we needed and was furnished beautifully. We look forward to returning again when weather allows us to explore the property more and visit more nearby wineries and hiking trails. Highly recommend!

Beautiful, Restful Retreat

Perfect.

What an awesome little place to stay. The cottage is all kitchen, which is amazing!! It was clean and had everything we needed. Towels, linens, cleaning supplies, and anything you would need to make dinner. As an added bonus there’s an extremely friendly Ms. Judy cat to relax with. 🙂 I wish our trip was a little longer, but I would definitely come back and absolutely recommend this lovely cottage.

Short family gathering

The house has a great room like a beach house, which was perfect for us to gather after a family memorial service nearby. While the rain dampened some of our enjoyment of the outdoor spaces, we had plenty of room inside for 10-12 guests after the event. Kitchen is well stocked and the view from the kitchen windows is quite a treat. That side of the house also faces the West for a lovely sunset. It was perfect for two couples. Noticed the laundry room late in the stay (very discrete), and it looks like a very nice asset. If I could make my kids build us an in-law cottage, this would be the model.

Beautiful Cottage

This cottage is very roomy and better in person than in the pictures. It was perfect for our stay. We enjoyed walking on the property and surrounding areas-rolling hills and farms. Our stay was very short (unfortunately) so we were not able to go to as many of the trails as we would have liked. We enjoyed the Culpeper Main Street shops and restaurants.

Cozy cottage!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely cottage. I would highly recommend this property. My husband and I stayed two nights and traveled around Virginia. The property is very cozy and comfortable. The host recommended several restaurants and we had great dining experiences. The property is located in a very pretty area which made morning runs and walks very enjoyable.

We had a wonderful stay here! The cottage was perfect for our family of 4. Close to vineyards, sheep, and antiques. It's obvious that the owners have taken a lot of care in furnishing, decorating, and landscaping the property. A true getaway!

A Wonderful Break

This was a beautiful property in a lovely country setting but only a ten minute drive from Culpeper and its several good restaurants. The owners thoughtfully supplied not only paper goods, soap, shampoo, laundry detergent and similar items, they also left us a lovely bunch of bananas and a bag of mandarin oranges. My husband and I enjoyed every minute of our stay and would love to come back.

Quiet and only an hour from DC

Overall, this was a perfect place for us to get away from the busy routine of every day life. We wanted to visit DC, but also didn't want the busy-ness of the city. We also visited Kings Dominion - only an hour south. The property owners were very friendly and helpful, as needed. We had never done any metal detecting, but we really enjoyed learning and my husband and 13 year old son had a great time and even found a couple bullets and an old lock from the 1800s. The only reason I marked down one star on cleanliness was because there were small centipedes coming up from the downstairs tub. This comes with country living, but if this is something that would bother you - you may want to know. There is a second bathroom upstairs - so you can steer clear altogether.

Peaceful and perfect

This was such a sweet and calm place to stay. We were in town for a funeral. The gardens and land provided a wonderful space for peaceful introspection. It was also a great setting for helping the kiddos get wiggles out by enjoying nature. The sweet calico kitty greeted us each time with came and went. Overall a wonderful experience.

The cottage was spacious, well stocked, and beautifully and thoughtfully decorated inside and out. The hosts were friendly and informative. We enjoyed the walking paths, spotting our first Indigo Bunting which looked just like the print in the cottage. We wish we'd had more time to enjoy it all!

Lovely cottage

We had a delightful two-night stay in this beautiful cottage. The cottage had everything we needed and the owners were more than gracious. Check-in was a breeze. The surrounding landscape is lovely with paths to wander and blueberries for the picking. It's a short easy drive to Culpeper. It was the perfect place to relax and stay as part of our Virginia road trip!
