3-bedroom Craftsman house on Bowen Island, 20 minutes by ferry from Vancouver

A light-filled, designer, west coast home with an ocean view and a five-minute forest walk down to King Edward Bay beach, a secluded spot for contemplation and/or a swim! Head uphill on to the extensive mountain trails.

Available for the months of September 2026 to April 2027.

The house has two floors: on the first is a spacious open-plan living room, dining room, and well-equipped kitchen. French doors open on to a large deck with a table and chairs and loungers.

On the same level is the master bedroom, bathroom, and walk-in closet. Also on this level is a guest bathroom, a laundry and storage area, and entrance to the garage that is currently occupied by a much-used table tennis table.

The main level has underfloor heating and a wood-burning fireplace.

Downstairs are two bedrooms with queen-sized beds, desks, and large built-in closets. There is a front room facing the view with a two-seater sofa and chair and a desk plus desk chair. The back room facing the forest has a desk plus desk chair and a sofa.

Downstairs each room has baseboard heating.

The house is suitable for work -- three desks, two wifi connections, power surge bars, and a printer.

Stay fit with an in-house Pilates reformer and other Pilates props such as an exercise ball, etc.

The village at Snug Cove is a 15 minute drive by car or bus. Here you'll find two small supermarkets, one with organic foods, and a few excellent restaurants and cafés. Artisan Square has an excellent bakery and cafe along with charming shops. From the village a 20-minute ferry ride takes you to Vancouver and the north shore mountains for skiing or hiking. The ferry for both cars and passengers goes to and fro roughly every hour between the island and the mainland.
