„Het is een heel mooi hotel maar, het moet beter ingericht worden. Het heeft hele mooie items maar zo ondoordacht ingezet. Het personeel is aardig maar lijkt geen goede leiding te hebben. Te weinig ingewerkt om in een hotel te werken met allure. Het ontbijt is summier voor zo een hotel. Ook wordt er weinig tot geen aandacht besteed aan de aankleding en netheid van het ontbijt buffet. „We stayed for a weekend due to a wedding we were having nearby. The room was clean and enough for what we were planning to do that it was just rest. When we came back from the wedding we stayed for an hour talking in the lobby downstairs with other people from the wedding that stayed in the same hotel, and even though it was during the early morning already the staff was amazing and really nice to us (of course we tried to be as quiet and respectful as possible all the time). "I expect more from a 4 star hotel. The room was lovely and spacious however confetti which was all over the grounds was also in our room. There are 3 lifts one is staff only, one is out of order which according to a frequent guest has been the case for 2 years!! Then they serviced the 3rd lift, leaving my 84 year old parents to negotiate very old wonky stairs, not ideal! We ate in the bar one night because i have my dog with me and the area seemed dated and unloved. The food was nice if served in a lack luster way. Again with breakfast the food was great but I can't imagine sitting in the bar to eat, the buffet is so far away my food would have been cold before I got to the table!! So we took it in turn to eat so one of us could stay with the dog. There is a small area to the left as you enter which could be used as a dog friendly area.... well away from the buffet, I see that often in other restaurants and hotels! The spa area was very pleasant and a welcome break to relax on our long journey. Also the location and grounds were lovely, sitting on the terrace in the early morning sun and quiet was also a highlight. In summary dated and unloved but a perfectly quiet and relaxing break from a long journey."

"Das Hotel ist ein wunderschönes altes Schätzchen. Alles gepflegt und sehr gut erhalten. Sehr freundliches Personal. Wir wollten das Hotel fast nicht verlassen, weil es so schön war! Man fühlte sich in die prächtige Viktorianische Zeit versetzt, nur mit dem heutigen Komfort und den Bequemlichkeiten. Wir denken immer wieder gern zurück an die wunderschöne Zeit im The Milner York. Werden es wärmstens weiterempfehlen."
