„Nice escape from the heat and humidity at this cabin. Enjoyed our time on the porch watching and listening to the rain fall. It's very close to Boone but offers a peaceful, quiet place to relax. “

„Finally found time to get all the kids together in one place…….and the cabin was a perfect fit for our family. Fully stocked pantry, huge table for us to gather for dinner and games,a pool table that got plenty of use and a great hot tub. Plenty of room for 7 adults and a great hub for our daily outings. Tammy was easy to reach and helpful before and during our trip. A good time was had by all!“

„Loved the new back deck surrounded by wild garden of ferns,flowers and trees. The fire pit was cozy. The master bed was as comfortable as a luxury hotel. I really enjoyed cooking on the chef’s stove. Just loved everything about the Tanglewood.So comfortable. And the host was very hospitable. „This is a very nice cabin in a great location. It is right near lots of things in Boone yet as soon as you turn up the street to get to the cabin it is wooded and secluded. The cabin was very clean and well furnished. It was definitely one of the nicest cabins we've stayed in. There were thoughtful touches like power strips near each lamp so it was easy to charge devices. It would have been nice if there had been a bigger table on the deck so we could have eaten outside. „We absolutely LOVED our stay! Kids and pups had room to roam, felt like we were out in the middle of nowhere while still close to what we needed. We saw deer every morning and even enjoyed a hike to the falls with the best guide ever, Oreo! Already have next year booked!“

„My Sons and I had a wonderful stay at “The Big Rock” property. We woke up to deer eating the crab apples every morning. The large rock is a perfect place to just sit and enjoy the pond and scenery. We caught plenty of bluegill and a few small bass in the pond. There was also a little pontoon and kayak the kids had a blast using. We will hopefully be returning soon. Lance was by far the best Host I have ever encountered. Anything we needed or any question were answered right away..“

"I had slightly higher expectations before arriving at the hotel. The check-in staff were fine, but I was hoping for a bit more of that Southern hospitality. When we got to our room, we noticed a lot of noise from the road, so we went back down to request a room change, which they handled without any issues—this was fantastic. The room itself was quite nice, with a very comfortable bed, though the bathroom was a bit small but functional. I also want to highlight the number and quality of the towels, which were excellent. Unfortunately, we didn’t enjoy the breakfast much. It was impossible to avoid single-use plastic, which, as Europeans, we find difficult due to the amount of waste it generates. The dining area also felt a bit drab and uninviting. Another downside was the housekeeping. Despite requesting, confirming, and leaving the sign on the door for daily cleaning, we returned one evening to find that no one had come to clean the room, which was disappointing."

"The worst breakfast on our Tour. Syrup empty, hot water empty, waffle batter empty, Toaster did not work and the Service Lady was „on the Phone or somewhere“. But the Young man from the reception Desk tried his Best to compensate the Situation. Rooms & beds were Fine."
