Winter visitors

We enjoyed a lovely stay in December when there aren't many tourists in NL. You can enjoy Gros Morne attractions all to yourself! The view from the house is pretty looking at the pond and the accommodations are very well stocked and clean. Andrea was great with communication and very welcoming. Two of the bedrooms are small, so not much space to repack and organize some of our luggage. Also there is a shared entryway which is nice for drying damp ski clothes by the woodstove, but could feel cramped if there were renters in the other attached unit doing the same with their boots, coats, etc. We really appreciated having our dogs welcome though. We prefer to travel with them so we usually only go summer camping in tents. We would return again.

Beautiful spot!!

We stayed for 2 nights and it’s a great location and just a beautiful spot to stay. We are hoping to return some day. We had a beautiful fire down by the water. Would highly recommend this location, very close to tour Gros Morne park. Andrea was the best!! Very nice lady to deal with.

Safe and sound “Dorian 2019”

Andrea is wonderful the unit is clean and well equipped. Beds are comfortable. This is a cabin on the pond with a beautiful view. Don’t expect fancy, it is comfortable and made for easy living.

Loved our stay!

What a wonderful little cabin. It was very cozy and perfect for our group! I loved the themed rooms (Bear, Moose, Wolf) and all of the cabin amenities. The best part was definitely the views. Thanks Andrea, we will recommend this cabin for anyone staying near Gros Morne.

Property is not frilly it is down to earth practical. Relaxed and homey. Family and kid friendly. If you are looking for perfect this is not for you. If you are looking for friendly well located to everything and CLEAN this is for you. The beds are comfortable. We sat out Hurricane Dorian we were safe warm and well looked after by Andrea.

Home away from home!!

Indoor and outdoor space was lovely. Was very comfortable and view from the moose room was awesome. If you’re an early riser the loon will greet you in the morning making it a special day

Excellent vacation spot

We found the Hatfield house more then met our expectations. . The house is clean and well stocked plus has lots of games and little touches like rain gear and ponchos that could be borrowed. Beautiful view from the front window and the upper balcony. The location is quite and well situated for day trips to Gros Morne. At night we enjoyed the fire pit and trying our hand at fishing. Added bonus was spotting beavers and two moose! The wood stove does a great job of heating the house which was needed for two of the nights. Andrea was very responsive and a pleasure to talk to. I would recommend staying here and judging from the "signing wall", many others have really enjoyed staying here as well.

Great base for exploring Gros Morne NP

We were traveling with another couple and found the Hatfield House to be as described on the listing. Andrea had sent us great info about things to do in the area before our arrival. She was prompt with answering our questions. Our white noise apps made the squeaky floors not a problem for us at night. It was a great location for our two days exploring Gros Morne and for our day exploring in the Deer Lake, Corner Brook, Lark Harbour area. We were also an easy drive to the airport for our early morning departure. Thanks, Andrea!

The view was lovely and the place was clean we were not prepared for the rough quality of accomodation. It felt like a clean frat house insulation batts visible, curtains in many colours covering who knows what behind the toulet i didnt look internet was too slow or non existent to even download a 5 minute clip never mind being able to watch netflix If we were 19 year olds on a snowmobiling trip it probably would have been ok but we're not

Lovely location and house.

A beautifully situated and well equipped section of a larger house. Loved the lakeside sitting area and unique visitors book! A quiet and peaceful setting very close to Gros Mourne in the lovely Newfoundland, well worth the long trek from the UK. Wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you Andrea.

amazing cozy cabin

My boyfriend and I and two other couples spent 3 nights at the Hatfield house during our hiking weekend in Gros Morne. It was simply amazing!! Andrea was really friendly and welcoming, and her cabin is rustic, charming and very cozy -we loved the wood stove. We immediately felt at home! The view of the lake is simply beautiful, especially early in the morning. We are all looking forward to coming back there again. It was quiet, relaxing and a perfect distance from the hiking trails. Thanks again Andrea!!

Lovely secluded cabin

Property was beautiful and had everything that could possibly be needed for your stay. The owner was delightful and helpful especially if you are not from the area. This property is recommended for all visitors. If you are from the Island or able to bring a canoe, kayak, or boat it would be a good idea as the cabin has lake front access.
