„A beautiful location. Staff were friendly and helpful, particularly the lady on the front desk when I arrived in the afternoon and a lady serving drinks in the dobby bar. The pool is fab, as was the steam room. The food was nice. On the whole a very relaxing stay, with good staff to help you. The hotel is perhaps a little dated but still perfectly lovely for a relaxing stay in the lakes. “

The room was spacious and comfortable and quiet at night so got a good nights sleep, located well for Kendal town centre and to use as a base for exploring the Lake District. Breakfast was tasty and filling too. Staff very friendly and welcoming. “
