„This property is beautiful. The deck has a lovely view of a pond. The hot tub is very relaxing. Occasional glimpses of wildlife. Great atmosphere for a relaxing weekend!“

„This was a great place to stay. More amenities than any other place I have been to. The only negative about the property is getting hit with an additional county tax that is not made apparent until after you book and pay. It was a small amount so it’s not a big deal but it should be included And mentioned upfront.“

„I could not have found a more perfect property in which to stay. The house is simply beautiful and the location cannot be beat! We spent many mornings and evenings on the large porch overlooking the gazebo and river in the distance. The house and owners provided everything we needed and could've wanted, the beds and sitting areas were comfortable and the main part of town was so close. I can't wait to return!“

„Very Victorian main areas of house. Nicely modernized kitchen and bathrooms. Washer dryer and fully fenced back yard. The kitchen is large but not fully equipped for cooking. Limited pots pans and cookware. Overall a fun place to stay within the popular Harmer area.“

„Loved the peace, tranquillity this property offered. I loved this property and will stay there again. The bluebirds and deer were an added benefit. “

„The home was nicely furnished with three living room areas, a complete kitchen with every thing you need, four bedrooms with comfortable bedding, three full bathrooms and linens supplied. We very much enjoyed the party house right on the river and the adjacent fire pit with comfortable benches. The driveway to the home is steep but very negotiable for cars and motorcycles. We enjoyed the time so much we are considering coming back next year.“

„We loved our time at Hawk Retreat. It was very clean and decorated with charm. We felt secluded, but close enough to Athens that it was convenient to head into town for food and fun. We’ll be back!“
