Got parked no problem and received a warm welcome at check in. Nice sea view room but with a very squeaky bathroom door and stains on the toilet seat left from the previous guest. Otherwise the room suited our needs. The hotel is warm as is stated in other reviews but there are fans in the rooms and Aircon in the dining/entertainment area.
The hallway to the toilets by the dining/entertainment area stinks or urine. As does the swimming pool! We spent only 10 minutes at the pool as it just felt dirty and the smell was overwhelming.
The dining staff were excellent if not a little too efficient. Too much fussing clearing plates and glasses whilst you are still eating!! We had 3 rooms and 2 of the 3 were earlier to breakfast than the 3rd room. The girl at breakfast decided (whilst we were eating) to start clearing the place settings around us. I had to say the rest of our party are on their way down and could the cutlery, cups etc be left. Breakfast wasn't ending for 90 minutes. I can understand clearing once the table has vacated but certainly not before?
Entertainment was good with 2 singers and bingo. Bar service good.
Dinner was tasty with fresh homemade soup and a lovely roast dinner- healthy portion. They ran out of desert so it was ice-cream or cheese.
Breakfast was ok, bland. Some moans, but the hotel is fantastic value for money and the staff are a credit so we would return.
