ATV & SIDE-BY-SIDE TRAILS — Trail 2 is minutes away. Gogebic County (MI) and Iron County (WI) together offer 500+ miles of ORV routes through Ottawa National Forest. Free trail maps at the Ottawa National Forest office on US-2, 10 minutes away.

BLACK RIVER WATERFALLS (20 min) — Five waterfalls through old-growth forest ending at a Lake Superior beach. Gorge Falls, Rainbow Falls, Potawatomi Falls, Sandstone Falls, and Copper Falls — all accessible off Black River Road. Best hike in the area.

BLACK RIVER HARBOR + LAKE SUPERIOR (20 min) — Agate hunting, kayaking, paddleboarding, or just a rocky shoreline with nothing but open water.

COPPER PEAK (5 min) — The largest ski jump in the Western Hemisphere. Open summers for chairlift rides with views that cover three states and Lake Superior. One of the best viewpoints in the Midwest.

IRON BELLE TRAIL — Runs through Ironwood and connects to hundreds of miles of hiking and biking routes through the Ottawa National Forest.

DOWNTOWN IRONWOOD (10 min) — Restaurants, a craft brewery, coffee, and local outfitters.

PORCUPINE MOUNTAINS STATE PARK (45 min) — 60,000+ acres, Lake of the Clouds overlook, 90+ miles of hiking trails. Worth the drive.

BIG POWDERHORN MOUNTAIN (1 min) — Western UP's biggest ski resort in winter. 64 trails, terrain for all levels.
