„Die Loge ist wunderschön in Natur gelegen und hat sogar ein eigenes Wanderpfad. Da wir Mietwagen hatten, war für uns die Lage kein Problem. Wir hatten ein Apartment mit 2 Schlafzimmer gemietet, alles war sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet, obwohl schon bisschen in die Jahre gekommen. Das Frühstück wurde durch einheimischen Paar vorbereitet, super lecker und für fairen Preis. Das Personal auch sehr nett und hilfsbereit, wir können die Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen.“

„Das Hotel liegt etwas abseits des Zentrums. Fussweg ca. 5 Minuten. Die Cabanas (günstigere Zimmer) sind schon etwas älter aber sehr gepflegt. Die neuen Zimmer im neuen Haupthaus (mit Pool und gelegentlicher Party-Bar) entsprechen europäischer Qualität. Riesenbett, gepflegtes Badezimmer, Klima-Anlage, 2 Ventilatoren (die Klima-Anlage hat viel zu tun in San Ignacio...). Die Mitarbeiter im Hause sind sehr, sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit! „I adore Edwin and his family. They took very good care of this solo woman traveler. He feed me very well!! The atmosphere was very authentic to how the locals live in the jungle. It is rustic. Shower did not have hot water.. I did have the room with a.c. Very nice. I will for sure go here again.“

„Black rock lodge is the perfect hideaway and a real gem, the location is perfect - right in the jungle, you can hear the howler monkeys roar in the morning and next to the river where you can take an afternoon swim. You can also spot various birds on your own but also on a bird watching tour at sunrise. The activities and tour guides were great, definitely go for ATM and a night hike. Everyone was super lovely and welcoming, accomodation is basic but clean and you have everything that you need. ...

„For anyone looking for a small beautiful hidden gem resort close to San Ignacio, I'd highly recommend Villa Massis in Bullet Tree Falls! It's only a quick 10 min drive into San Ignacio. We had a 2-bedroom suite for the 4 of us and it was perfect. We booked airport transportation, transfer to Placencia, several rides into San Ignacio and all of our tours with them. Staff was friendly and went out of their way to help us.“
