Midtown Underground: 2BR Centrally Located Private Apartment

The Midtown Underground is a groovy, retro themed private entry daylight basement flat located in a quaint, family-friendly neighborhood called Midtown just minutes from Downtown Bend. Comfortable beds, well appointed kitchenette, and extra amenities such as coffee, tea, hot chocolate will make you feel spoiled. Large backyard & BBQ available. Record player, 8-track, movies, & board games available in addition to all digital TV channels. Spotless housekeeping is guaranteed for an enjoyable stay.

The newly remodeled Midtown Underground is a daylight basement space that offers a break from the usual with a fun and funky vintage furniture inspired by 1960s London and the London Underground scene (hence Midtown Underground... get it?!?). Spacious lawn and deck just outside your front door. The CEILINGS ARE LOW in places, so be sure to watch your head! There is a kitchenette, complete with high end pots, pans, 2-burner hotplate, brand new toaster oven, microwave and all you need to create wonderful meals. Vintage record player, 8-track player with a hundred 8-tracks to choose from, a multitude of boardgames, , and flatscreen TV. You can settle in and relax while enjoying everything Bend has to offer. For the winter: Ski rack, fireplace to warm cold bones and a direct route to Mt Bachelor. 3 turns and 30 minutes to the mountain. The Midtown features a beautiful redwood sequoia (one of only two in Bend) that provides a majestic view outside the bedroom window.

The Midtown Underground has a private entry that is around the back of the house. You will park on a gravel drive, follow the signs through the wooden gate and find yourself at the threshold of the Underground.

We are the homeowners and live upstairs and we are always available to assist if needed, but will provide you with privacy. We sometimes cross paths in the driveway (we're parked just to the left of you) but we know you're not here to socialize with us! We are long-time Bend-ites with lots of connections and local knowledge and are always happy to steer folks in the right direction.

We have a pretty normal schedule by most standards and don't have dogs or kids, so while some "floor noise" may be noticed, it is minimal.

We will provide you with a notebook outlining some of the best kept locals places to eat and visit.
