"The old house was charming. It could benefit from a really good, deep clean. The bathrooms and beds/linens were very clean and the kitchen was functional. We didn't use the outdoor area but it was nice and well suited to a comfortable place to hang out on a nice day. The town has food and necessity shopping available and easily accessible. Overall we were pleased with our overnight stay. "

"We traveled to Advance for a long weekend to view the total solar eclipse. Host provided excellent instructions for arrival. Every room was as described. Nice decor - including vintage duck decoys. Grocery shopping was nearby. We had a delicious meal and delicious drinks at El Mexicano restaurant. There were Subway and McDonald’s fast food options nearby as well."

"The remote peacefulness of this location was amazing. Rustic isn't a valued word anymore. Wildly fun to sit on the patio of the cabin and just listen to nature and the rainfall, my gosh! We walked trails, played rounds of games in the gaming cabin. Swam and jumped off that pontoon a dozen or so times. The paddle boards were great too! We totally plan to go back and have already been making plans to see the Happy Farm family again!"

"If you are planning to stay in the Miner/Sikeston area, I highly recommend this hotel! The rooms (stayed in two different rooms during my trip) were very clean and comfortable. The whole hotel itself seemed to be very clean. The full breakfast had a wide variety of choices and the food tasted great. All of the staff that I had spoke to were very friendly, polite, and helpful. I travel through this area about twice a year and this will certainly be my go to hotel for future visits to the area."
