A Pet friendly, zen inspired forest retreat in the middle of a pine forest in Bastrop Tx. Lose yourself on our shady grounds where deer and other wildlife flourish. Wander through our 4 acres of 1000 plus trees. You’ll love relaxing in our zen-hammocks! We are two miles from Colovista Golf and Country Club and only 6 miles from downtown Bastrop!


PineyWoods House is located 6 miles East of Bastrop Tx and sits in the middle of a forest close to Colovista Golf and Country Club. Deer birds and other wildlife flourish here.


The newly built guest house features an open concept design and while small, 400 sq ft, it is the perfect setting for family and friends to escape.


Enjoy morning coffee and evening wine on our shady dining &grilling patio with a BBQ Grill.


About The Space


The guest house features 2 comfy queen beds, air conditioning and heat, washer/dryer, full kitchen, full size refrigerator, ice maker, high speed wifi, walk in shower and a smart TV.


We love having well behaved pets explore the grounds with their families. We do have a $75.00 per pet per stay fee that helps keep us pet friendly. The maximum number of pets for this property is 3. Please inform us of the number of pets joining you during your stay. If you did not include and pay for the number of pets in your reservation, please message us with the number of pets and we can bill your card or you can leave it with us before you leave. (Please see house rules for pets)

Our greatest joy is having happy guest, please look over the photos and read the description and house rules in their entirety before you book. Most come here for the meditative grounds and forest setting. If you are looking for a huge sprawling home to lock yourself in for days on end, this may not be the place for you. Our sister properties, The RiverHouse or RiversEdge are better suited for you huge sprawling spaces types.


While a 2-night stay is possible, the vast majority of our guest’s have told us they wished they had booked an additional night. If a 3-night stay is possible we recommend booking at least 3 days as it is seldom possible to add a night at the last minute. Discounted stays begin at 3 nights!

We have no doubt you'll fall in love with the place just as we did when we built it.


Guests have access to PineyWoods House as well as the forest on our property. We do live next door so you may see us coming and going from time to time or working in the yard. Just say howdy and we will introduce ourselves.


We live on the property and are only a message away should you need anything. We give our guests privacy although we love to chat if the occasion arises.


PineyWoods House is in a very quite neighborhood. Close to Colovista Golf & Country Club.


Other Things to Note:


The occupancy listed is the max occupancy this property can accommodate. If you intend to host any event, celebration or other function, you will need to disclose this to us in advance and obtain approval, including an agreement to all additional fees and terms.

We ask that you read all House Rules & Policies including the additional House Rules section prior to booking. Upon booking, you are stating that you understand them and agree to follow and abide by them.


We strongly advise trip insurance to cover your booking and will provide any documentation you may need to facilitate your claim. Our cancelation policy will be adhered to at all times during your reservation. We do not refund reservations outside of our cancelation policy. Unlike hotels who typically overbook reservations, we do not have that option. We have blocked off the property from all advertising once you booked it and typically have a hard time re-booking on short notice. If you do cancel outside of our policy, we will do our best to rebook the property and will send you any funds we collect to offset your losses. These funds may be less than you originally paid.


Your driveway parking is limited to 3 cars.
