„If your looking for tranquility this is the place. I suprised my wife for her birthday with a weekend away and some much needed down time. We canoed the pond and walked the trails. The beaver's occasionally swam by and we were visited by the blue jays and the gray jays. Bring your candles for those candle lit evenings, remember no hydro. Kitchen and bathroom were a bit dated, but clean with lots of kitchen items, and towels respectively. Shops and restaurants in walking distance. „The Laughing Moose Lodge is a beautifully kept lovely home located close to Algonquin Park. The hosts have thought of everything including touches like leaving for us fresh flowers, a locally made fresh berry cheesecake and a delightful bottle of sparkling wine. „David and Stefan made us feel at home immediately. In our three night stay here, there is absolutely nothing to criticize. All meals were fabulous. There is always something of interest to do here, whether it be hiking, paddling on the pond, relaxing or reading. „This was a great place to stay with our elderly parents. The home is very clean with every comfort required. The check in was very straight forward. The walk to the lake is breath taking and beautiful. The lake is clean and has a lovely sandy bottom. There is a canoe and sup boards, however we did not use them as the water was a bit rough. I would recommend this place for any family get away.“
