Welcome to Skywatch by Out of Bounds Retreats, a private couples spa retreat tucked into 7 wooded acres near Boone and Banner Elk, Grandfather Mountain, Sugar & Beech ski resorts, and so much more. With serene views of the surrounding forest and easy access to outdoor activities, this charming cabin is the ideal destination for a romantic getaway. Cozy up in front of the outdoor fire pit, unwind in the hot tub under the stars, or explore the nearby hiking trails. Inside, you`ll find all the comforts of home including a fully equipped kitchen, plush linens, and a king-sized bed. Whether you`re looking for a peaceful escape or a memorable adventure, Skywatch cabin offers the perfect blend of relaxation and excitement.
*Outdoor shower will be closed during months where the overnight lows are below freezing (estimated October through early May) to prevent burst pipes.
**As with most properties in the area, vehicles driving to this cabin need 4WD, good tires and sometimes chains in the winter months during snow fall/icy conditions. TRIP INSURANCE is highly recommended in winter months.
Many full time residents occupy the surrounding cabins and the one lane gravel road up to the cabin is easily navigable in good/non-icy weather. Chains can usually be purchased in the area though it’s recommended to buy them before coming. In icy conditions, please put them on before driving up our road.
**Refunds will not be given and dates will not be moved for weather related road conditions or utility outages. Due to the unpredictability of weather in the mountains, please buy trip insurance. We don’t want anyone to lose money.
**Pet fee is $85. Emotional support animals will be accommodated, though a pet fee still applies.
Please note: this is a tiny cabin at 450 ft2 with a small footprint, abbreviated kitchen and narrow spiral staircase to the sleeping loft. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook for 2 with a 2 burner induction stove and a counter top oven that toasts, bakes, air fries & more.
