The 1830 Guest House

Relax in this elegant and spacious 1830 home located near downtown Bangor within 3/4 mi from waterfront concerts. Tall ceilings and hard wood floors. Modern conveniences yet retains the charm of a historic home.
Please read entire ad before requesting a booking.
The space
The first floor rents for $250/night -sleeps 4 people with queen sized bed in master bedroom and queen sized sofa sleeper in living room. Renters have full exclusive access to first floor: MB, LV, Kit & DR. Additional rooms are available upstairs for $50/night per room. The additional three bedrooms include two queen sized beds and the third room has a full and a twin sized bed. Total cost of all available rooms $400. The owners live on secured portion of second floor that renters will not have access to. You may hear/see owners in passing in the hall way on the second floor but you will not share any rooms or bathrooms. Outdoor deck is not available to renters.
Guest access
2 parking spaces in back of the home as well as no fee street parking.

Key pad entrance is at the back door of the home.
Other things to note
No children under 12 because of radiant heaters.

Great place. Just down the street from Stephen King’s house. Older house and wonderful. The stairs and floors creaked but that added to the charm. Well equipped kitchen, beds comfortable. What a fantastic stay, the house was spotless and had every amenity you could possibly ask for. The location is awesome too, with a restaurant only a block away and in easy walking distance of downtown Bangor. Our host was really great and very responsive with any questions we had. I would highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Bangor.

We were in town for a concert with friends and this place was perfect! The house is beautifully done and had everything we needed. It was spacious, comfortable and in a quiet neighborhood. We liked how close and convenient it was to shops and the venue. Joni is the perfect host and checked in with us when we arrived and before we left. So thoughtful of her to leave cookie dough to make cookies and also a nice bottle of wine! Would definitely stay here again!

One of the nicest short term rentals we have stayed in. Perfect location close to everything but yet quiet. Very charming historic home with lovely, homey details. Super comfortable memory foam mattress. Amazing well appointed gourmet kitchen. Everything one would need for a relaxed but luxurious stay in Bangor. Highly recommend and would defintely stay again.

I stayed here with all my bridesmaids the night before my wedding and got ready here the next morning. It was so clean, welcoming, and very spacious. Beautiful and comfortable home!

We stared at the 1820 house while in Bangor for a wedding. We were three couples staying together. Our hostess could not have been kinder, more accommodating or more thoughtful. The house is absolutely charming! The owner has done a spectacular job of preserving and showcasing the antique/historical details of the house, all while providing modern comfort and a relaxing space to stay. Warm welcome on a cold weekend

My family had an important event in downtown Bangor, and we booked this house so that we could all stay together close to the event. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen beautifully appointed, and the host was very responsive.There were fresh-baked cookies, sparkling water, and a bottle of wine waiting for us when we got there. We stayed in here for a concert at the amphitheater and it was perfect location. We walked to and from the concert in minutes. The house was a great size and although there was a group of 8 of us it was large enough we did not feel on top of one another. We arrived to a tray of cookies from the owner as well as a lovely note and drinks in the fridge! The house was beautiful and had plenty of room for all of us. The home is a lovely, older home with alot of charm. It is well maintained and furnished with all you will need. Joni even furnished toiletries. So there was no need for us to have brought body wash or shampp. The bed was very comfortable and all areas of the home were very clean.
