There are some wonderful walks nearby, however a word of caution, don't try to drive unless you have an AWD or 4WD as the roads are gravelly and full of ruts.“

Next time... Brought my parents here as we'd stayed at the old Barrington Guest House when I was a kid. Still a beautiful area. We did the Blue Gum Track, and a whole lot of bird-watching, even seeing lyrebirds for the first time. Dungog is worth a visit - a small community-focused town. Hopefully we'll be ...

„We stayed at the Retreat for a family wedding , we had 5 adults and still had room for more.
The rumpus room with pool table and table tennis table was a huge bonus and we were the envy of others that stayed there.
The house was great and we did not need anything else to make our stay better, we were warned to bring everything with us.
All the wildlife around was wonderful as well, reminded us that we live in Australia.
It was a shame that we could not fully go on the long bush walks on ...

We also had a dip in the river, did some platypus, possum and bird watching and enjoyed relaxing in the evening around the slow combustion fire. The comfy warm beds were a luxury, no wet tents to pack in the morning.“

„Alan and Eva were so lovely and kind during the stay. They were very accommodating and helpful! My friend and I had an amazing time staying here, watching the sunsets and sitting by the campfire. Lovely place to unwind and have a weekend off in nature. We got to see the cows and the lovely views around the farm. The cosy off-grid cabin felt like a home away from home.
