Built in the 10th century on the top of a hill, the temple is reachable by climbing a long flight of steps. Like in many of the temples in Angkor, there’s a coexistence of Hindu and Buddhist elements and it reminds, in a much smaller scale, the majestic Angkor Wat. The most scenic part, in my opinion, is the stairs. The 370 steps are framed by lushy trees that offer shade during your hike and it steep verticality, drag your eyes to the top temple. http://nomadswind.com/cambodia-travel-diary-2-battambang-2/
If you continue up the hill from the Killing Caves, you will find the temple that has been built in recent years thanks to donation from Khmer people. Schöner Aufenthalt im Homestay
Das Zimmer und das der Häuserkomplex sind authentisch und einfach wie ein Homestay sein sollte. Esaro und seine Frau waren freundlich, offen und hilfsbereit. Das Essen war sehr gut. Die Lage ist sehr nah am Batcave (5-10 Min. zu Fuss), aber gute 20 Min. mit Tuk-Tuk von der Stadt Battambang. Die Umgebung ...

We did not stay there, the house is in a subdivision that has no people living nearby. In front of the house were dead leaves everywhere. The area doesn’t look safe for visitors to stay there.
