    Imagine your next family getaway enveloped in the sun-soaked splendor of "Varuna," a five-bedroom haven on the serene Bald Head Island. Step inside to be greeted by the harmony of natural light playing across a spacious living room and kitchen. It's the perfect space for family bonding, with ample seating and a screened-in porch to catch that calming ocean breeze. A stone's throw away from South Beach, you can delight in the island's fantastic amenities. The primary suite, bathed in luxury with a king bed, double sink vanity and a tiled shower, boasts direct access to the back deck and its stunning views. Upstairs, a queen bedroom awaits with a private bathroom and a door leading to the deck. The connected crofter houses another queen bed with a well-appointed bathroom. The third floor, an idyllic space for the kids, features two twin-bedded rooms and a shared bathroom. The house also offers a bonus living area on the third floor with balcony access for an unobstructed view of the picturesque surroundings. And to make your stay even more enjoyable, two golf carts are available for island exploration. Plus, you can gain access to the BHI Club and Shoals Club for a separate fee.

Gut: Sauberkeit, Check-in, Lage und Genauigkeit des Onlineauftritts
Positives: Access to beach excellent, beds comfortable, fridge large, golf carts great.But: Living room furniture is not conducive to comfy sitting, though 3rd flr love seat is cozy. Broken doorknob off kitchen to deck took days to fix tho' mgmt promised sooner. There's not a bathroom that doesn't go thru a bedroom except on the 3rd floor. Stairs everywhere, if you can't do stairs, this is not for you. Some maintenance needed: the bedroom that's accessed from outside does not have workable shower light or exhaust fan, they are broken. It also does not have a lockable slider, so, sleep with one eye open. Many doors thru-out do not lock. Before coming, mgmt told me the grill used charcoal, but nope, need a gas tank so wasted charcoal and spent 25 for a new tank. Also, asked agent if any beach chairs or shade available. Nope, so bought/brought six chairs and bought a 270 Shibumi shade only to find two of those and plenty of chairs on site which they could know, if they visited the house regularly. A massive irrigation leak from drip line sprayed huge stream of water on porch, called mgmt who said they'd fix the next day(in a drought!). Luckily my son figured out how to turn it off, never did see repair guy. The day before our departure cleaning crew arrived. Panicked that I screwed up the dates, soon they said, oops, their fault. The dryer was filthy, vacuum clogged, we fixed both. DR fan cools great, LR fan is set for winter, so no air movement for summertime.
