The location was an easy walk to one of the entrances to the ruins (just behind the lovely cathedral called Santuario della Beata Vergine Maria del Santo Rosario). We found an agent to take us to Vesuvius quite easily from near the ruins. „We chose this place to stay after visiting Pompeii archeological park. The host was very kind to let us check in early as we arrived by train from Rome. Although this place is very close to Scavi train station, we arrived from Pompei center, a walk about 1 mile. We would have preferred a cab but they told us 20 Euro. We walked instead. We found out std. Cab fare 15 euro. Our return train trip next day was from pompei station. We asked the host to call us a taxi, instead it appears she called ...
