The owners are nice, communication was easy, the property is as listed. The property was cleaned we couldn’t have been happier. Please note it is a duplex so if both sides are rented you will have neighbors and could impact your experience.

This place is beautiful and definitely a place to restore the soul. We had such a great time as a family enjoying the beach and the water. Our two kids loved the upstairs area and spent a lot of time up there playing. We will definitely go back!!!

Perfect for our family

We had family from out of state stay in this side, while we rented the other unit. They had a wonderful time and couldn't believe how nice the beach was and the amount of stars you can see there at night.

We had an enjoyable time. There wasn't anyone in the other half of the house so it was very quiet and peaceful. Nice beach, great for rock hunting. The house was clean and comfortable.

Wonderful location

This is the fourth year in a row we have stayed at this property. It is in a great location for us, is clean, and has everything you need for your stay. We stayed three years in a row at Property 1, and the first year at Property 2. Property 1 has a better view, but Property 2 has better beds for seniors as the loft beds in Property 1 are low to the ground. We hope to move back to Property 2 next year.

Nice and comfortable.

The beach area is nice and secluded and we had a great view from the cottage. There is a second cottage to share with, but that was fine with plenty of area and 2 fire pits. The cottage itself was very roomy and comfortable. Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming.

Great place!

Great place to stay. We would have appreciated a little more in the kitchen like a griddle and larger pans. Lots of pots but only one very small pan was provided.

This property has a lot of potential. However, if you're booking it just for the beach, this isn't a good choice. The pictures of the beach that are shown, are nothing like the beach. It's full of weeds and very muddy! The cottage itself is ok, however we checked out and came home, 4 hours after check in, due to ants crawling up the walls. The windows are filthy, along with the window tracks, which are full of dead bugs. The light fixtures are also full of bugs, dead and alive. The front of the property is extremely full of weeds. The bed down stairs is VERY noisy, but other reviews stated that. The part that upset us the most, was when we texted the host and they took zero responsibility! Not even an apology! I even gave the benefit of the doubt that maybe they have someone that's supposed to maintain these items, and maybe they weren't aware. Also, the upstairs bedroom is an attic. It would be fine for young children, but if you're over 4ft, you have to duck. The window a/c units are basically useless. They didn't do much. Maybe the host could turn them on an hour or so before a guest checks in. If you sit on the toilet, your knees will hit the vanity. Also the bathroom fan is disgusting!

Lake house stay

Overall a great family stay. Property is very quiet. Definitely bring a good pair of water shoes as the beach and water is rocky. However, once you get out to the sandbar, it’s all fun and games. There is a nice beach just in town that we checked out for a few hours if the rocks at the lake house bother you. The food shack at the beach had some great burgers. The house has everything we needed except a drying rack for when we did dishes. Great communication with the owners while we stayed. If you are looking for an easy going trip, this is the spot.

First Anniversary Vacation

We liked the quaint size of the cabin (i.e. comfortable). My stepson and his fiancé stayed the first 2 nights upstairs and the room is better designed for children not adults. We especially enjoyed the privateness of the beach area. Only a couple of times during the week did we see anyone on the beach and only when they walked past. It is a beautiful location. We also enjoyed watching the freighters sailing by on the lake. The cabin was well stocked with kitchen and bathroom necessities. Thank you so much.
