„Perfect spa and hotel on a huge and beautiful estate, excellent staff. Breakfast is wonderful too. “

„We really enjoyed our stay at The George. It was authentic, absolutely clean as a whistle and the staff were incredibly helpful and nice. It is an authentic old inn so there were some creaky floors but it fine for us. The staff and the food were amazing. I would stay here again.“

„We were very disappointed. Lack of maintenance meant room was very poor. Room was vvv cold, we were given an extra duvet. Windows didn't shut properly. Bedside lamp didn't work. Shower head not fixed to wall. Room was small but we expected that.“

„Sweet experience. Very much welcoming. Generous breakfast.“

„Excellent quite property with first rate modern amenities but with old historic feel from the hard work by the owners to bring back a luxurious comfortable English Manor House feel. I will be returning in the future and enjoy the place. All the details gave me the best night sleep that I can remember.“

„Had a great stay, room 1 was fantastic. We enjoyed the comfortable bed and a sofa was a bonus. Great bath, one thing to note may be the addition of a shower curtain, we managed to soak the floor every time we used it. Water and orange juice was a nice touch and filtered coffee was tasty. We did feel the stairs were very deep and the additional of another hand rail may be something to consider. Lovely dark room and we slept so well. Breakfast was great, nice to see all local and home grown ...

„Die Küche ist exzellent. Auch vegetarisch und vegan wird angeboten. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend. Die Räumlichkeiten sind schön, alt und gepflegt. Ein spannendes Gebäude.“

„Really lovely stay - friendly staff in a small pub in Combe Down open for evening meals during the week, and open for lunch onwards at the weekend. We had a lovely welcome, preordered breakfast for the next morning which was really delicious, and was shown to our room upstairs. A lovely view of the white horse in the distance and a comfy bed, with lovely furnishings. We would stay again.“

„A very lovely B&B. You can feel the owners dedication and love to detail in every corner. That was by far the best stay I‘ve had so far“

„We were only there for a stopover. The house was lovely and the host was very accommodating. They were very thoughtful and we appreciated it!“

„The Rose and Crown was an absolute delight. The property was so sweet, the room clean, cute and comfortable. The location excellent, close to Bath but a quiet oasis out of the hustle and bustle. The food at the pub was delicious and well valued. Would highly recommend.“

„This has so far been our favorite Hotel along this 3 1/3 weeks trip through England. We love the location. Staff is warm heartedly friendly and the restaurant really good. And it is in convenient driving distance to destinations like Averbury, Silbury Hill, Kennett Long Barrow, Stourhead Gardens, Bath …“

„Hervorragendes Frühstück, sehr gute Zimmerausstattung, zuvorkommendes Personal. “

„Absolutely wonderful! We loved our host and appreciate his helpfulness and conversation!“
