The Space:

Set high above the water on the Te Whau Peninsula, this remarkable coastal residence brings architecture, landscape and sweeping sea views together beautifully.



Designed by acclaimed New Zealand architects Fearon Hay, the home unfolds across three levels, with curved architectural forms, soaring glass and expansive spaces framing the coastline. Natural materials, warm tones and considered interiors create a calm, understated backdrop to the setting.



The upper level is the heart of the home, with a beautifully appointed kitchen, dining and lounge space opening towards the water. Walls of glass draw the views inside, while the large kitchen island and generous dining area are made for shared cooking, long lunches and relaxed evenings together.



The middle level is dedicated to the main bedroom accommodation, including the master suite and further bedrooms, creating a quieter retreat away from the social spaces of the house.



On the lower level, a second generous living and entertaining area opens up another side to the property. Alongside the architecturally designed sleeping pods, this expansive level offers plenty of room to gather and is particularly well suited to larger groups, private celebrations, weddings and retreat-style stays.



Outside, the private infinity pool appears to fall away towards the bay below, surrounded by landscaped gardens, sunny terraces and open lawn. Swim in the morning, settle in poolside for the afternoon, or gather outside as the light changes across the water.



Throughout the property there is an easy balance between spaces to come together and places to retreat, making Te Whau especially well suited to extended families and groups.



Established coastal planting surrounds the house and pool, while the elevated position captures beautiful views across the bay and Waiheke landscape. Days here can be wonderfully simple: breakfast overlooking the water, a swim, an afternoon exploring the island, then home for dinner as the sun drops.

The Neighborhood:

Te Whau is one of Waiheke’s most peaceful and picturesque peninsulas, known for its rolling countryside, vineyards and beautiful stretches of coastline. The estate feels wonderfully removed from the busier parts of the island, yet Waiheke’s beaches, wineries, restaurants and villages remain within easy reach by car.

We provide all linen, bath and pool towels for your stay. Baby items including portacots are available to hire too.
