Summary:

Moana Retreat is a contemporary, light-filled home with sweeping water views from almost every room. With three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and generous outdoor living, it offers a peaceful, luxurious base within walking distance of Kennedy Point Vineyard and Picnic Bay.



The Space:

Moana Retreat is arranged across two levels, each capturing uninterrupted sea views. The upper level holds the main living room, the master bedroom with its own ensuite, and a second bedroom positioned beside a separate bathroom. Large windows frame the coastline, and the living space opens directly to the deck, making it an easy place to unwind, read, or enjoy the evening light over the water.



Downstairs, the lower level is designed around a spacious kitchen and dining area. The kitchen has a large island, clean modern cabinetry, and wide sliders that open to the deck, bringing the outdoors into the centre of the home. This level also includes a third bedroom and another bathroom, giving guests their own quiet corner of the house.



The deck runs along the length of the home and is one of Moana Retreat’s strongest features. With wide timber flooring, multiple outdoor seating areas, and panoramic views of the bay, it provides plenty of space for long lunches, relaxed evenings, and simple moments spent watching boats drift across the water. Every area of the home feels connected to the outlook, creating a calm, open atmosphere throughout.

Please note: Minimum stays - 5 nights mid December to early January, 3 nights holiday weekends, 2 nights all other times. Moana Retreat is not suitable for children under age 12.



Guest Access:

Guests have full access to the entire home, including both levels, all indoor living areas, the kitchen and dining spaces, the bedrooms and bathrooms, and the entire outdoor deck. Parking is available at the property. Early check-ins or late check-outs may be possible on request depending on bookings either side of your stay.



The Neighborhood:

Moana Retreat is positioned within walking distance of Kennedy Point Vineyard and the calm waters of Picnic Bay. A short drive brings you to Oneroa Village, where you’ll find cafés, relaxed daytime dining, restaurants, and local vineyards.



For breakfast or coffee, Wai Kitchen serves brunch with sea views, and Akito offers a modern, plant-forward menu. Solar Eating House is a great option for a relaxed lunch with a sunny outdoor setting, while The Local provides simple, casual meals close to the beach. Dinner choices nearby include The Oyster Inn for coastal dishes in a friendly, relaxed dining room and Fenice for comforting Italian classics. Mudbrick and Cable Bay, two of the island’s most iconic wineries, are close enough for long lunches or sunset dinners. The Heke provides a casual brewery and grill with a large outdoor garden area for unwinding at the end of the day.



Getting Around:

The nearest bus stop is close to the main road, with regular routes across the island and stops at popular wineries including Mudbrick, Cable Bay, Tantalus, Stonyridge, and Te Motu. Taxis, e-bikes, scooters, and rental cars are also available, and parking is provided at the property.



Other Things to Note:

Moana Retreat is not suitable for children under 12.



Minimum stays are five nights from mid-December to early January, three nights on holiday weekends, and two nights at all other times.



The home uses rainwater tanks, so mindful water use is appreciated.



Interaction with Guests:

The Stay Waiheke team is available seven days a week from 8:30am to 5pm, with after-hours support for urgent matters. For life-threatening or properties emergencies, always call 111 first.
