„When we arrived we saw immediately that the sofabed in the lounge was broken and could not be used to sit or sleep on, this was disappointing as it meant there were not enough beds for us all. We contacted the owner and the next day a chap arrived with an airbed. We requested that the sofa be replaced but that did not happen. „Ideally situated for not just exploring the Wall but also for going North to Alnwick and the coast as well as central Newcastle. Very warm with plenty of hot water for bathed. Spar shop very close by selling most things including lids for stove. Hoste friendly and helpful. However, little privacy in front kitchen or outside. Views there but not as advertised.“
