The Hydro Hotel

"Easy to find, we managed to get one of the parking spaces directly at the hotel, grounds were well maintained, reception area was welcoming even impressive, staff friendly and helpful. We were only staying one night and booked a cosy room. After the impressive reception area we expected modern rooms. What we had was sehr compact, very plain and basic, white walls, white beds, one tiny light above each bed with tiny white shelf between beds, beds were short even for me as an average female, a very big minus - no plug sockets near the beds, two were available on the other side of the room, no curtains only a rollo, so there was no privacy once the rollo was opened, which embarrassed not just the lady taking photos of the front of hotel but me too. A little colourful painting or something welcoming besides the sterile white room would be nice. We were above the reception area and could here the music from downstairs and people walking in and out which prevented me from sleeping well. Bathroom needs a complete modernization. Very positive was the breakfast, everything was available what one would need. Lots of young staff which was great to see the future generation continuing to learn and work in rural Ireland."

"Ein schönes Hotel in einer parkähnlichen Anlage. Sehr imposant. Das Frühstück sehr lecker und ausreichend. Am Abend haben wir auch im Hotel - ebenfalls sehr lecker. Das Personal war sehr nett und die Lage war auch sehr gut. Es gibt azsreichend gratis Parkplätze."

"Schönes Zimmer, sehr gute Lage i. Den Ort und an den Strand. Schwimmbecken und Wirlpool sehr gut. Sauna so mittelmäßig. Alle waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit."
