House On The Harbour | Pittenweem
- Beautifully Renovated 170-Year-Old Harbourside House with Double Garage and Sunny Garden | Sleeps 6
This exceptional and beautifully renovated 170-year-old harbourside house provides spacious and comfortable living within yards of the only working harbour in the East Neuk of Fife. See the boats bring in their prawns and lobsters, watch the fishermen repair their nets and experience that special south-facing sparkle of the sun on the water — all from the lounge. You may spot seals in the harbour, and perhaps even a whale out in the Firth of Forth.
Two large lounges, a dining room opening onto a sheltered private patio, and a small sunny terraced garden give everyone room to spread out. If you need even more space, we also offer the apartment upstairs — Penthouse on the Harbour — so contact us directly for larger parties.
The Space
Offering 128 m² of accommodation, House on the Harbour opens into a comfortable and spacious sitting room with a feature glass-panelled staircase leading to the upstairs living space, where the sitting room, kitchen, dining room and patio flow from one to the other. The upstairs sitting room features a beautiful exposed stone wall and stunning fireplace, and is flooded with light from three windows.
The modern kitchen is well equipped, and the dining room comfortably seats 8, with French doors leading onto the patio — perfect for outside entertaining with its large table. Original art features throughout the house, with paintings by David Henderson and a specially commissioned glass panel of Pittenweem life by Keny Drew. If you fancy a walk, the house is right on the Fife Coastal Path.
