„Friendly staff but a bit slapdash at breakfast, rooms comfortable but south facing rooms need a portable aircon unit when warmer outside as the room was stiflingly hot despite window open and fan on. Excellent food which we could not fault for two nights dinner.“

„This is an absolutely delightful property in an amazing location, with unbeatable views. It is well furnished and comfortable and has a great garden with abundant furniture and is situated in truly beautiful countryside and a charming village, with two acceptable pubs.There is a lovely circular walk to the equally pretty village of Rockliffe from which you can swim and in the nearby town of Castle Douglas there are very good food shops and a first class restaurants, Mr Pooks.
