"Squirrel's Nest is an absolutely charming cottage in a quaint town. Great location & perfect for our needs. We only stayed a weekend, to attend the Sounds of the Mountains storytelling festival at nearby Camp Bethel. We hope to go back when we can stay longer, to see more of the town & surrounding area."

"Absolutely perfect stay. Everything is exactly as pictured. The bed is so comfortable, the shower and tub are divine. The creek is cool and refreshing. Bring firewood and charcoal, paper plates if you don't want a lot of dishes. Bring a good book and enjoy the view from the front porch. Lay under the stars. Relax. "We stayed at the cabins during a horseshow at the Virginia Hose Center. The cabins were very conveniently located to the horse center, and very clean and spacious. A great alternative to the hotels!"

"The house and outside of the property were just perfect! The swings and hot tub were the high light of our stay ( be sure to check the tire swing for any nests, made that mistake and ended up being stung by a wasp….nest fell with me off the swing so we carefully moved it away from the swing) Inside was cozy and comfy. AC unit was a little hard to understand at first but it works like a gem! Will definitely be recommending and would totally stay again"

"It was an honor to stay at Whitewood Hall. Our family was there for 4 nights to celebrate my son's VMI graduation and Army commissioning. The location was very conveniently located to Main Street and also is a 10-minute walk to VMI's parade grounds and Cameron Hall.
