„The resort is amazing! I loved the calmness. The outside pool had a perfect water temperature. The SPA pools were a bit too hot and the water is too deep, not ideal for small people. I loved the relaxing area next to the river. The massage was also amazing. The staff was lovely. I had dinner in the Root restaurant, my dish was good, especially the caldo verde. „Das Hotel ist groß, sonst war von „Grande“ nicht viel zu sehen. Die Zimmer gut, das Frühstück erst sparsam und am zweiten Morgen nicht vorhanden. Schade. Vielleicht waren wir zur falschen Jahreszeit da.“

„A fine place to stay, but it’s PR is not helped by the unattractive photo of the indoor pool which is prominent in its advertising. I would suggest a shot of the town of Manteigas from the hotel- a beautiful vista indeed.“
