House and neighborhood looked very nice. Upon entering the first thing we noticed was a notice that the water filter on the refrigerator needed replacing.Upon informing the owner it was taken care of within a couple of days.
The icemaker also wasn’t working but when we looked it was one big solid block of ice which we thawed out to get it working….surely these minor details should have been taken care of before our arrival.
Upon looking through the house we did wonder why each bathroom had a very large plunger under each cupboard…..we soon found out. They obviously had problems with their sewage drainage system. Within days we had a blocked toilet and a flood on the main bathroom floor where the seal had come away from the commode. The owner was very good about getting it fixed that same day within a couple of hours and on Super Bowl Sunday it was done. we contacted the owner for instructions to light the fireplace who came back with ..do not use it and it is not advertised as useable and it’s very dangerous. Perhaps you should state that it’s NOT a working fireplace instead of pointing out that there is a fireplace which people expect to be working.
We had booked to rent the house until our departure on Saturday morning checkout. A few days prior we were notified that builders would be coming to start work to replace a garden wall on Friday morning and again on our departure day Saturday. Surely this could have been scheduled for after we had departed.
Stay here again ….No.
