Relax with the whole family at our beautiful cozy vacation home in Towamensing trails. Come and enjoy our 3 bedroom cottage that is a short walk to the seasonal amenities that include beach lake, pool and clubhouse and is also a short drive to Jim Thorpe and many other attractions. Property has a ring doorbell camera and cameras on the sides of the front of the house facing driveway.

Susan has created a truly beautiful home, thoughtfully and lovingly appointed with everything needed for a relaxing stay. My siblings and I spent Christmas week wrapped in snow, glowing fire embers, soft holiday music, wildlife visits, and the comfort of delicious home-cooked meals. During our first holiday missing a deeply loved and beautiful person, this space was unexpectedly cathartic…offering warmth, peace, and a sense of healing. It truly felt like a home away from home, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to make Christmas memories. It is my sincere hope to be invited back for a future return visit.

“Cozy Cottage” was just right for us Great location for all of our day tripping The house is clean, roomy and has a nice deck to sit on. The neighborhood is quiet and it’s great for walking around. We saw quite a few deer which we enjoyed seeing. The marina, tennis, pickleball and basketball courts are a short walk, less than 10 minutes. The beach area is a short drive away. Very scenic views from both areas. The host is very nice to deal with and promptly answered all of our questions.

Such a nicely decorated cottage nestled in a quiet, private community with great walking and bicycle paths to private beach with lake access. Very easy communication with host. She was so nice! Close to Jim Thorpe. Deck offered a relaxing outdoor space for morning coffee or evening wind down.

The bed I slept in was very hard, and the sheets were very thin. There was no central air which is my fault for not checking, but being from the Gulf Coast, it never occurred to me. The portable AC in the den was loud and large. The kitchen was ill equipped, but the worse thing was the hall bathroom shower. There was no place in the shower for soap or shampoo! All this wouldn’t have been so bad, but this hostess had a rating of 10, and there wasn’t a single towel in the kitchen! Had to go to Walmart and buy several things. Three adults for 5 nights got 2 rolls of toilet paper! I always look for premier hosts, and most places have been worthy of that, but not this. I was burned one time in Ireland, but chalked it up to cultural differences. I searched for my review of that place and found it had been removed. So, he had a high rating. All that tells me now is forget trusting VRBO’s because this was no 10, nor was Ireland, Now I suppose I’ll get a poor review, although I paid LOL my bills as I should, and left the place in good shape.

We enjoyed our stay. The house was exactly as described. The home is also well appointed with everything you would need for cooking. Two things to note: You will need to physically take all of your trash to a dumpster about a mile away during designated times. It cannot be left on the property. Second, if you visit in the summer there is no central AC or window units. There is a portable AC in the living room which is great but only ceiling fans in the bedrooms. The bedrooms got a little stuffy but wasn’t unbearable.

Excellent rental home

I’ve stayed in many houses in the community over the past 15 years and this one was a great setup. I tend to bring my own pots, pans, utensils, towels, dish soap, etc. but there was no need to do that here. Very clean, well stocked, organized, and comfortable. Kudos to the host for making it such a comfortable stay.

Great place!

We had a quick 3 night stay to do some skiing with the family and it could not have gone any better! The weather was perfect with a light snow each day. Deer each morning met us by the patio for breakfast. The home was exactly as listed and suited our needs perfectly. And the owner was a pleasure to work with. Looking forward to staying there again in the future!

Went for a ski trip and the cottage is adorable and so clean. It was perfect for our stay and close to Big Boulder! Communications were seamless and it was nice to have a functional fireplace on those chilly nights!! Highly recommend!!

A peaceful stay

We had a great stay at this spotless home. We were looking for a place to go after the holidays to unwind and relax, and this fit the bill. The house is nicely appointed, with updated bedrooms and bathrooms. We spent some time in charming Jim Thorpe as well as the surrounding hiking trails. We enjoyed the snowfall and the many visiting deer.My recommendations for improvement would be adding more blankets, switching to a higher-quality mattress in the master bedroom, and not requiring the renters to clean out the fireplace and then drive their trash to the dumpsters upon checkout. Those things should be covered by the cleaning crew. I also suggest that they change the check out time on the listing (11am) to match the time requested by the owner (10am). I did not realize the discrepancy until the morning we checked out and scrambled to get out on time That said, I would definitely recommend this place to other renters. It was cozy and comfortable! Thank you for making your home available to us and our four-legged friends!
