entire property in disrepair: poorly patched wall paper seams in room& hallways, water damage on ceilings incl surrounding a presumably hard wired fire alarm, moss growing in window tracks & gutters, scratched furniture with faded / pulled upholstery, scratched cabinets,no dishes/ utensils/ cups in room (we had to go out to buy some). ONE coffee packet for ONE cup in room for 2 guests/ 2 night stay,location “out of sugar packets". Freezer not defrosted / over accumulation of frost ( froze / ruined our vegetables).No blankets on beds or in closet, no bath towels in room, stained toilet, bath tub plug not functional, cracked lobby tiles & sidewalks, carpets stained in room & hallway, seams in elevator carpet squares were separating, inconsistent/ poor dusting, really cheap 1 ply toilet paper, 1 single employee on site overnight (security issue for them and guests) Employee reported only 1 front desk person at a time, 1 maintenance+occ asst, 1 housekeeper resp for 139 rooms. Employee paychecks frequently late or bounced. (Violation of Labor laws) with severe understaffing are they even getting mandated breaks? Landscaping not maintained. Exterior of bldg/ parking area/ windows not maintained. The only positives were the Pillows were comfortable and employees were pleasant while working in an untenable situation. Extremely disappointing stay. Shilo Inn has fallen far below reasonable expectations for upkeep, cleanliness, security, safety and basic amenities.
