„The staff here is truly wonderful! As there is no elevator, they helped us to take our bags upstairs to our rooms. I was working a good portion of our trip and the wifi here was great. The employees offered suggestions on places we could walk to visit in the town and made sure to let us know if the pub kitchen was closing in case we wanted to order.“

„The Packhorse Inn was a very pleasant inn to stay at for my business trip! The room itself was well air conditioned and the amenities were very comfortable. Any extras needed such as ironing board, etc were readily available from the staff. Had breakfast and supper multiple evenings of my trip and always enjoyed them throughly. Generous portions and reasonable pricing. The inn itself is located next to a quiet and quaint village which is a short few minute drive into Newmarket which is loaded ...
„Super Hotel, gutes Essen im Restaurant, abends konnte man draussen im Hinterhof sitzen und gemütlich was trinken. Zimmer sauber und groß, Dusche allerdings schlecht einzustellen (zu heiß). WLAN und Parken gratis. Morgens durch die Lage in Ortsmitte allerdings etwas Straßenlärm.“
„Der Pub ist total süß, sehr schön traditionelle Details. Essen ist super, sowohl Abendessen, als auch Frühstück.
Die Unterkunft wird viel von Montagearbeitern genutzt und sieht leider dementsprechend aus. Mit wenig Aufwand könnte man einige Sachen wieder in Ordnung bringen. Leider hatten wir noch Dreck und Müll vom Vorgänger im Zimmer (Tassen nicht abgewaschen und in den Tassen Müll). Für eine Nacht zu Durchreise ist es okay.
Das Personal ist super freundlich und zuvorkommend.

"Das Hotel war an sich in Ordnung. Leider war das Zimmer sehr warm. Klimaanlage gab es nicht und das Fenster hätte man Max 10cm öffnen können, was wir aber wegen den ganzen Insekten davor auch nur kurz gemacht haben.
Für die 25£/Nacht bekam der Hund beim Check in ein extra Türschild (Do Not disturb/attention mit einer Pfote) und mehrmals den Hinweis den Hund nie, nie alleine im Zimmer zu lassen. Außerdem gab es auf dem ganzen Gelände und im Hotel keinen Mülleimer außer im Zimmer."
"Es ist ein tolles Hotel mit einer besonders schönen Lage , ruhig am Fluss , dennoch nur ein paar Minuten vom Zentrum entfernt .
Zimmer waren in Ordnung,Frühstücksauswahl gut ,Extras wie Kakao, Spiegeleier kein Problem nur das es viel zu lange gedauert hat .
Schon auf Grund dieser idyllischen Lage würde ich das Hotel wieder buchen."
"During the last leg of our vacation, we stayed at a hotel in Cambridge for one night. Having previously experienced a range of accommodations, including an Airbnb in Cambridge, an apartment hotel, and a large hotel in London, this particular hotel stood out as a pleasant surprise, especially considering it was not as pricey as the others.
The bed was notably comfortable, and the breakfast provided was a highlight of our stay. We were treated to a proper English breakfast, which was quite wonderful. The bathroom and shower were both clean and of a good size. The hotel also had effective air conditioning, although we didn't need it much as the weather was mild.
The staff were quite friendly, which was particularly reassuring given some warnings from locals about potential unfriendly encounters due to the changing political climate. However, we found the staff to be very kind and they treated my son with exceptional sweetness and respect – a factor that always makes a big difference to me.
I would recommend this hotel, especially to other foreign-looking travelers, for a comfortable and welcoming experience. "
"The location and service are great. We had trouble with the shower turning cold, however when we told the staff they were very friendly and said they’d take care of it. It’s a nice hotel but a lot of the decoration choices are made to look nice rather than be nice so it looks better in pictures than is. "
