Villa Marfil in Potrero’s Pacific Heights is a 4-bedroom, 3.5-bath home with panoramic ocean views and a private infinity pool on a commanding hilltop location. A serene and relaxing retreat, this two-story home is spacious, modern and stylish, with comfortable furniture and tasteful accents. Every room offers stunning views, and the indoor and outdoor spaces blend seamlessly. You’ll hear birdsong all day long, and at night there are outstanding views of the stars.
The Space:
The four bedrooms all feature modern, contemporary design and very comfortable beds with quality white linen. The master bedroom downstairs has a work space, a television, a king-size bed and an ensuite bathroom. There are two bedrooms upstairs, one with a king bed and the other with a king and a twin. They also have ensuite bathrooms. The fourth bedroom, located by the pool, has a queen bed.
Bathrooms are decorated in a contemporary, tranquil style. All three full baths have showers, and the master bath has two sinks. There is also a sink in the fourth bedroom.

Pet-friendly policy
We welcome your furry friends at our property! Before you book, each pet must be verified and approved based on breed and size (max 35 lbs.), accompanied by a recent photo. A refundable pet fee of $200 per stay, along with an additional cleaning fee of $50 + 13% per pet, is required to ensure our home remains pristine for all guests. We allow up to two pets per reservation. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times in public areas within the property grounds. Certain properties and complexes may have specific rules and registration requirements. Pets need to be verified at least 24 hours prior to check-in. If guests arrive at check-in with unverified pets, access to the property will be denied.

The Neighborhood:
Playa Potrero
Offering easy access to three beaches (Potrero, Penca and Prieta), this town combines upscale lodging options with the charm of a traditional Costa Rican town (think central plaza with church, school and soccer field).
There are plenty of restaurants, shops and other conveniences, and the downtown area has two mini supers (convenience stores), as well as a commercial plaza with a coffee shop, a hairdresser and other businesses.
Some of the liveliest nightlife in the region can be found at Las Brisas Bar, right on the beach, though it’s normally hopping only on Wednesdays (Ladies’ Night).
Potrero has several nice housing developments with “Villagio” in the name, popular among Italians and other expats. You can find Italian gelato shops, Costa Rican sodas (small, affordable restaurants) and hotels in a range of prices (Pitaya Lodge, Bahía La Esmeralda, Hotel Isolina, Bahía del Sol).
Just to the south of Potrero lie all the attractions of Surfside, and to the north is a beautiful, hilly drive along the ocean, ending at the Mediterranean-style village of Las Catalinas. Potrero is within easy striking distance of several beaches, and it’s a great base to explore the entire region — for a sampler of both the high-end and the humble.
Getting Around:
