The Space:
Bijou at the Lake is one of the nicest units in this amazing lake front complex! Owner completely remodelled it from top to bottom so you will have both luxury and lake views. This home has one bedroom with a Smart TV and a queen bed. There is a full bathroom, kitchen and living room with another Smart TV. This home sleeps 2 but 2 additional kids under 5 are welcome. Additional towels and a pack n play for the kids can be requested. *Please note: This home is not pet friendly. If pet hair is found, you will be charged a large extra cleaning fee.

HOME NUISANCES
- These units are individually owned condos and therefore this home does NOT include access to the hotel pool, hot tub, BBQ pits, beach chairs or volleyball court next door. You will only have access to the gorgeous beach right outside your sliding door but we think the lake is the best part anyway! ;)
- This home is located in a popular beach front condo complex with other units on top of and on the sides of this home. If you are a light sleeper, this may not be the best spot for you.
- Being that this unit is beachfront, sand naturally gets drug in and can re-dirty the floors very easily. We ALWAYS sweep and mop between guests.
- This home comes with 1 unassigned first come, first serve parking spot right outside of the condo. There is a parking pass inside the condo hanging by the front door.

DIRECTIONS
This complex is located behind CVS and to the right of the Lakeshore Lodge. When you drive back there you will see the Lakeshore lodge right ahead. Drive to your right and you will see the brown building you are staying in. It's behind Heidi's pancakes. Unit #120 is a lower level end unit and is the first one on your left nearest the hotel.

TAHOE RENTAL ORDINANCE
The following laws were set forth by the county and apply to every home in Tahoe. They were put in place to keep Lake Tahoe an enjoyable and safe place to visit for years to come! :)
1. 10pm - 8am is the county quiet time for all rentals.
2. Trash cannot be left outside and must go into the bear box.
3. We cannot host extra people or allow parties.
4. We cannot accomodate extra cars, parking on the street or dirt.
PLEASE NOTE: Neighbors may alert the police who will issue fines to guests found to be in violation. In order to protect this owner’s permit, we reserve the right to ask guests to leave if this happens.

IMPORTANT INFO
- QUIET NEIGHBORHOOD: In Tahoe it’s so quiet at night that you could hear a pin drop! As a result, we can only host quieter groups that will abide by all of the county laws. Our guests are normally fine as long as they head inside or to the casinos after 10pm. Appreciate your understanding!
- KEEP TAHOE BLUE: Please help us keep Tahoe a natural wonder by appropriately disposing of trash when visiting our beaches and trails. If you pack it in, please pack it out.
- REVIEWS: We kindly ask for understanding and compassion when sharing feedback about this home, just as we strive to approach responding to reviews with empathy. We understand that experiences can vary, and what might not meet one person's expectations could exceed another person’s expectations. Your reviews have a lasting impact on the home and its owner, who are real people behind the scenes. - TRAVEL INSURANCE: We highly recommend that all of our lovely guests purchase travel insurance as we normally do not refund for Covid, smoke, fires, weather, snow storms, road closures, etc. 
- WINTER TRAVEL ADVISORY: After the historic Winter of 2023, we recommend 4WD vehicles with snow tires, tire chains and experience driving in the snow. Emphasis on snow tires. Tahoe roads are icy and power outages are common. Please always wear snow boots and walk with care on icy pathways.
- BBQ/DECKS IN WINTER: Due to snow levels and freezing temps, BBQs are not serviced and decks are not shovelled during the Winter but if you can dig it out and there is propane - feel free to use!
- LATE CHECK OUT: Please let us know 24 hours prior to check out, if you wish to request a late check out. First hour is free then $25/hour after that, not to exceed 1pm. Please note our cleaners sometimes travel for up to 1 hour to clean this home so we ask that you please respect the 10am check out time.
- NO AC: Like most homes in Tahoe, there is no AC but we do provide plenty of fans.
- HIGH FIRE RISK: Lake Tahoe is a high-risk fire area. Fireworks, wood fire pits, smoking/improper disposal of cigarette butts and charcoal bbq’s are prohibited.
- BLACK BEARS: Black bears inhabit Lake Tahoe and are attracted to food and trash. Always lock your car doors, roll up windows and view from afar. Please do not feed our bears.
- TOWELS: We supply one bath towel, one wash cloth per occupant and then one hand towel per bathroom.
- SECURITY: Most of our homes have exterior-only security cameras and noise decibel monitoring systems to ensure we are in compliance with the county ordinance but we take our guests privacy VERY seriously. There is never indoor cameras. Most owners only look to see bears and snow levels at their homes :)
- MOUNTAIN CRITTERS: It’s not uncommon at any home in Tahoe to find little mountain mice, spiders, spider webs, ants, mosquitos, etc. Our homes have on-going extermination services but despite our best efforts, these little critters might make their way inside. If found it doesn’t mean a home is dirty, let us know and we will do our best to mitigate such findings.

Interaction with Guests:
You will check in by going right to the home using our keyless entry system. Your door code is the last 4 digits of your booking phone number followed by the check mark button that will activate at 4pm. Make sure to pull the door toward you when you put the code in to ensure the deadbolt is aligned. We have a 24 hour customer care team and a local team available during business hours.

Great place

The property is GREAT! The property managers not so much. No one contacted me with information on how to get into the house, I had to call to get a code and then the code didn't work. Hard NO on checking in early and to extra towels. But the property is great!

Good stay, but could be better

All the photos and information in the listing are accurate. The property was clean and we enjoyed our stay. The back patio is shaded most of the time and a nice place to relax with a view of the lake. There were local artist concerts on the beach 2 nights we were there. They were pleasant and concluded by about 9pm.. There are some opportunities to improve. 1. Did not notice any smoke detectors in the property - maybe they are very discreet. 2. TV remote battery was dead with no recharging cable available. Agent was quick to respond and agreed to seek a replacement - used manual on/off during our visit. 3. The bathroom door hangs on the tile floor about half way open - needs to be planed to fit. There is no doorstop there, so if not fixed, someone is going to make a hole in the wall pushing this open. 4. Shower did not drain properly. Agent was quick to respond and get it cleared. 5. Outlet to the right of the stove in the kitchen is not operable. Tried charging phone here and was disappointed to find it uncharged. 6. Towels - Stayed for 11 nights and was given 2 bath & 2 beach towels, one hand towel & 2 washcloths. Requested more, was directed to the back-up closet where we found 2 additional washcloths. Agent responded later in the day by delivering a new/unopened package of 5 beach towels. Having no place to wash these towels made them unusable. Really need to fix the towel situation, its an unnecessary irritation.

Great location

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. It was in a great location and we were able to have access to the beach right out the back slider door. The condo was very clean and comfortable. The communication with the property management company was very easy and responded quickly with any questions we had. We definitely recommend this stay.

Everything I expected

My husband and I had a last minute getaway for our anniversary and we stayed here. Very clean and pictures were accurate. Great clean private beach! Would definitely recommend. Check in was weird (small wording at the bottom of email) but we eventually figured it out. Thanks for opening up your home. ❤️

Amazing View and Relaxing Home

The minute we walked through the door we were swept off our feet! The music playing on the TV, the place settings on the bar, and the view of the lake. We knew we were on vacation the moment we opened the front door! What a wonderful place!
