What we wanted and what we needed
We stayed in this property for 3 months, so we got to know it pretty well. Don’t tell Vrbo, though, because Vrbo thinks we stayed for a month and then came back the next day and stayed for another month and then came back the next day and stayed one last month. The old Rolling Stones song says “you can’t always get what you want, but if you try some time, you just might find, you get what you need.” We needed to get away from the fires of L.A., and this property was what we both wanted and needed. The pictures for the property drew me in — there was a meticulousness about them that promised that a lot of loving care had been applied to every detail of the property, definitely something we needed. (We really didn’t need to arrive at a place that required cleaning before we could feel comfortable living there.)The property is bright and clean with loads of character. 2 outside patios and a small balcony. Our cat loved the balcony because he could sit outside and safely observe the various humans and animals that sauntered by during the course of the day. I loved the roof patio, where I could sit and look out over the densely packed rooftops of Corona del Mar, stretching down toward the ocean. My wife loved strolling around the relaxed and laid back city, shops, restaurants, and ocean.It didn’t happen right away, but that laid back peacefulness of the property just kind of slowly seeped into us until we just felt a lot more healed and whole again.
