Willkommen in unserem ruhigen Rückzugsort am Bach. Wir befinden uns am Jonathan Creek im Herzen von Maggie Valley. Unsere Kabine ist sauber und gemütlich! Wir bieten eine Kabine mit 3 Schlafzimmern und 2 Vollbädern mit Blick auf die Berge auf kurze Distanz und auf die Bäche. Lauschen Sie den Geräuschen des rauschenden Baches, fischen Sie Forellen, treiben Sie und spielen Sie in den geschützten Gewässern dieses wunderschönen Baches. Ein flacher Garten mit Feuerstelle sorgt für abends viel Spaß am Lagerfeuer. Unser Whirlpool für 6 Personen hilft Ihnen, sich zu entspannen und zu verjüngen. Alle asphaltierten Straßen und die ganzjährig gute Erreichbarkeit machen dieses Haus zu jeder Jahreszeit zu einem Traum für Familien und Paare. Der Innenraum verfügt über einen Gaskamin, Holzlaminat in den Schlafzimmern und Porzellanfliesen in der gesamten Küche, im Wohnzimmer, in den Bädern und in der Waschküche. Die Küche umfasst einen Essbereich für 6 Personen und das Haus verfügt über einen separaten Waschraum. Zwei überdachte Veranden vorne und hinten mit Hollywoodschaukeln und Schaukelstühlen. Das Hauptschlafzimmer verfügt über ein Queensize-Bett und ein eigenes Bad. Die Schlafzimmer 2 und 3 sind mit Queensize-Betten und einem Vorraumbad ausgestattet. Das Haus verfügt über WLAN, 3 Flachbildfernseher mit Kabelanschluss und einen DVD-Player im Wohnzimmer. Dies ist ein Nichtraucherhaus. Wir befinden uns in der Moody Farm Road, direkt neben dem Maggie Valley Club. Wir haben das ganze Jahr über geöffnet und befinden uns in günstiger Lage auf der Talsohle, sodass Sie Winter, Frühling, Sommer und Herbst bequem erreichen können. Wir sind 11 km vom Blue Ridge Parkway entfernt, der Sie zum Great Smoky Mountain Park, nach Gatlinburg und Cherokee bringt. Surviving THE Storm

This was our third time staying in one of Beth and Ken's properties and the second time we rented the Shady Creek cabin. We absolutely loved the cabin and location on our first stay and looked forward to our return trip. None of us anticipated Hurricane Helene would do her best to wreck havoc on the area during our visit. We noticed the creek was higher than previous years but was still well below the bank when we checked in on Thursday afternoon. By 6:20 AM on Friday, the creek had begun to flood the back and side of the yard. We evacuated to the Sunoco station on Soco Road and watched as the creek became a raging river, surrounding the cabin and crossing the road into the community on the other side. We thought for sure that the cabin had been flooded but prayed for the best. We were able to stay in communication with Beth during this time but didn't know that Beth was already preparing another property for us to stay in. By late afternoon, the waters had receded enough for us to return to the cabin. There was evidence of the flood waters rising above porch level but incredibly, the house was not flooded at all. The power was out but there was no evidence of any water getting inside! Beth and Ken met us at the cabin and told us of the other property that they had prepared for us. We were planning to just return home as soon as we could. Instead, we ended up staying until Tuesday. We cannot thank Ken and Beth enough. They treated us like family during a major catastrophe

Great stay with the family and our dog!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. We loved being able to bring our dog too, and our kiddos enjoyed the campground across the creek because later in our stay other children arrived and they played together in the creek. The pictures of this VRBO are very accurate, but some people don’t pay attention to those so I’ll point out some things…the house was very clean. The kitchen is on the smaller side (especially if you like to cook). But we don’t cook extravagant meals on vacation and had everything we needed. Jonathan Creek is right behind the house, my husband caught a few trout but it is a well-populated and fished area. There are many places close by that you will catch more trout. We loved having the creek to play in and enjoyed seeing the ducks and their babies. Hope to see elk next time! There are many restaurants close to the house too. I will clarify (again for people who aren’t paying attention) this is not a secluded cabin in the woods. There are houses all around it, but from the listing information that was obvious to me and not a problem for us. Great communication with Beth too, we would stay here again if we visited Maggie Valley!

Great house on the creek

Prior to our stay, communication was great. Check-in was very easy. The house was perfect. Located on Johnathans Creek, we loved sitting in the backyard, listening to the water. About 50 Mallards came up the creek each night, which added to the enjoyment. The kitchen had everything we needed and the rooms were a good size, with comfortable beds. Definitely checkout this place if you want something close to all the mountain towns with easy access to Asheville.

Not what we expected…

When we went to get a shower for bed,on the first night, the master bedroom shower had a crack in the hose. Water was spraying everywhere. Notified the owners and it was repaired the next day. Crock pot lid and insert were dirty and had to be cleaned before use. On the second day of our stay, my husband noticed “bites” on his arms, back, and legs. Our daughter in law (nurse) identified them as bedbug bites and we examined the room and found evidence (dead bedbugs) in the nightstand. Informed and sent pictures to the owner. An exterminator came in and confirmed the bedbug issue only in the master bedroom. We (hubby & I only-not entire family) were offered by the owner, a night stay in a local hotel but it was our last night of vacation and no guarantee that the hotel would not have the same issue, so we decided that one more night was not going to make a difference. No other compensation was offered or asked for. I will say that the owner was awesome and very upset and apologized for the situation. We just do not want others to have the same experience we had.

One word- Amazing!!

Wow this has was everything and more! We booked this beautiful house for a month and it still wasn’t long enough. I work from home and the internet was very stable. When my work day was stressful I would step outside listen to the river and reset. The house is close to everything. Our Grandkids came for a few days and we had plenty of room. I would highly recommend this beautiful house!!

Great Ski Weekend!

The house was perfect. The location was so close to the ski location. It also was just a few minutes to cute shops and downtown Waynesville. We really enjoyed being able to bring our dog with us. He just likes to chill with us in the evenings. The host was very responsive when I had a questions. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Maggie valley trip

This is the second time we have stayed here - and we LOVE it! To be able to sit on the front porch and look at all the gorgeous colors of the leaves on the mountains, then head to the backyard and sit by the fire pit and watch he ducks play in Jonathan Creek - is absolutely stupendous! The house it self is nice and cozy. I wouldn’t change a thing! Had an absolutely perfect vacation!

Perfect get-a-way!!

This was our 1st time at Shady Creek but the 2nd time renting from Ken and Beth. Our 1st time was at Cottage on the Creek. We love both properties. Our stay at Shady Creek was so peaceful, it has all the comforts of home and more. We enjoyed the cooking outside and sitting by the burn pit next to the creek. We wish that we could have stay longer! Thank you Ken and Beth for everything!

Loved our stay in Maggie Valley

This was our first VRBO stay and we loved everything about the process. Our hosts, Ken & Beth were exceptional, making sure everything was ready including early check-in, and delivering wood for our fire pit. The house was super clean and comfortable with plenty of amenities and space for our week-long vacation. The covered porches, fireplace, and clothes dryer!, were put to good use in the inclement weather. We look forward to returning to Maggie Valley in the fall and hope Shady Creek is available.

Cozy spotless home and beautiful creek

This was the coziest little place and the creek in the back yard was so nice. Beth is a saint and paid attention to every detail. She had shampoo , laundry detergent, softener sheets, etc. You name it and she had it. We fixed steaks on the grill one night and I had forgotten steak sauce but guess what? Beth hadn’t ..I looked up in the cabinet and she had steak sauce, seasoning, etc all waiting for me. The house was spotless. The hot tub was clean. I even asked Beth if we could check out an hour later because of my elderly mother needing more time to get ready and Beth didn’t hesitate to tell me it was fine to leave at 11:00 instead of 10:00 am. We had a wonderful time and we will be back.
