Peaceful Charming Cabin Retreat

Look no further. Unplug, unwind, relax & have a good time in our cozy cabin more than perfect for family gatherings, couples retreat, girls trip or male bonding time. This location checks all the boxes. Nestled in the NC mountains, a short 15mi scenic drive to the Highlands & Lake Glenville - Minutes from Wyahutta ATV off road trails. Perfect for fishermen looking for a "guys getaway weekend" or families gathering for holidays specials occasions, or just to reconnect. Furry Friends Welcome ($150 PetFee)
Relaxing by the fireplace or outdoors on the beautiful decks this home is a one of a kind. 3 bedroom 3 bath comfortably sleeps 8 with a trundle bed on 3rd floor loft area and pull out sofa on the first floor. Each floor has its own bedroom complete with king beds and full bathroom spaces. Linens and towels provided along with a few essentials to get you started. (Ex: toilet paper/paper towels) Kitchen is fully equipped with all of your dining necessities as well as some extras- Keurig coffee maker, toaster & a blender. So all you have to do is pack your bags & maybe a cooler of your favorite beer and turn on your 'vacation mode'. Kick back on the STUNNING double decks. One with a bench swing to enjoy the view and sounds of a babbling creek & the other with a grill & outside dining seating on top deck. Secluded and surrounded by nature. WiFi is available however can be spotty at times as well as cell service giving you the chance to truly unplug. There is a landline if needed.

New Year’s stay

We had a problem with our hot water that was promptly resolved after a call to Tasha. The downstairs has a distinct odor of dog urine, and the carpet was spotted with stains which was rather unpleasant. The towels had a musty smell, and some of the dinnerware and utensils were dirty. There were cobwebs throughout the house. The cleanliness standards we are used to with VRBO rentals has always been 5 star. I cannot give this property the same rating. The spotty internet was annoying, but that was mentioned beforehand. The main floor toilet has a tendency to run. Overall, great location and very quiet.

Stunning Mountain Home

Great secluded Mountain home with beautiful nature all around. Plenty of room for the family inside and had all cooking supples you could possibly need. Porch swing overlooks their waterfall. It seems like we were half way between the two towns: The Highlands and Franklin and spent time in each unique town. The owner was very prompt in answering questions and great to work with.

Wonderful property! We stayed for the week of Christmas. We absolutely loved the cabin. If you’re looking for a beautiful/secluded cabin with tons of privacy and hiking then this is the one. Great home, beautiful area

Huge house with plenty of room for everyone. Nestled in the middle of the NC mountains, we loved the little stream running by the property. We loved our day in Franklin, which was only a 15 minute drive. Would definitely like to stay here again!

Peaceful waterfall house

Directions to the property were excellent. No problems getting in. We loved the balconies overlooking the woods and waterfall, and spent much of our time there. Lots to do in the area. The most comfy beds, and instant hot showers. (We’ve rented many homes and this isn’t always the case ;). All in all, we made new memories and had an amazing time.

Cool, Comfortable and quite getaway for the whole family

We stayed at the cabin for 5 weeks, so we got the full effect of the cabin, its location and the surrounding towns. It is a perfect location and facility to unwind and get away from it all. When you read that the cabin has everything you need. That is a true statement!! It was very well supplied with everything! We had lots of space for our family with 3 levels of comfort. The large king beds were very comfortable. Eating outside on the large deck, listening to the waterfall just below was something special to us that we will never forget. Thanks to our host for sharing their beautiful home away from home!

Great getaway tucked in the mountains

Beautiful property in an undeveloped area with no neighbors in sight. If peace and quiet is what you're looking for than this is the place. 10 min off the main road so it doesn't take long to get to town. Cabin has 3 levels so it can accommodate plenty of people. The only draw back of the entire stay is the trash disposal situation. You have to drive it to the local trash dump which is about 5 miles away. All in all, I would definitely recommend this place and we would absolutely stay there again.

Amazing family getaway! Beautiful home nestled by a perfect little stream that provided a peaceful song of nature every time we stepped onto the patio. Amenities were terrific! House was clean, cozy and inviting! The perfect location for day trips around NC with plenty to see and do. Beautiful Mountain View’s driving to and from this cabin. We visited waterfalls, Bryson City for a train ride and even ventured over to Gatlinburg one day of our stay. Would love to stay here again! ♥️

Away from it all

If you are looking to get away from the all this is the place. It is definitely secluded. Once you get off the road to the cabin you aren't to far from town. The Wifi isn't the best and cell service is non existence for AT&T. It was nice to unplugged from the world. There's some great antique shops and restaurants in the area. The owner is quick to respond to any questions you may have. My family would stay again! Lisa T.

Beautiful Cabin & Great Location

The house was beautiful and well set up for spending time together but also having privacy when needed. We spend a week with my in-laws each summer, so both are very important! The separate ground floor suite was a game-changer! We usually stay in the Highlands/Cashiers area but this was a great change. We were still very close to both but also had better highway access for excursions out of the area and the proximity to Franklin made supply trips to Ingles so much easier!

Quality time with family

Our family had the most amazing vacation in this log cabin! We thoroughly enjoyed the comforts and beauty of the the cabin and it’s surroundings. The private little waterfall was pleasing to hear every morning and the seclusion of the location led to some “offline” family time. The location was convenient for us to enjoy the 4th of July parade in Franklin and fireworks in Highlands the next day. We also enjoyed family friendly rafting and horseback riding in other nearby towns. The cleanliness and attention to detail to make this cabin comfortable was exceptional - this is very important to me as my young children will explore every nook and cranny wherever we are. We are very much looking forward to another stay here!

Attention to detail!

We loved staying here! The sounds of the waterfall sending you off to sleep. King size comfy beds for everyone. Well equipped kitchen. Hotel level toiletries including a square of handmade soap. The only small drawback is spotty internet and no cell service. Didn’t really bother us adults (kinda liberating!) but my 9 yo nephew likes to FaceTime his mom. Franklin is close enough for quick trips but far away enough to feel like you’re alone. We would definately stay here again!

Valentines Delight

The 3 bedroom house was even more luxurious than the pictures. Nestled on a babbling brook with a waterfall and tons of spring flowers, it felt like we were completely isolated from the rest of the world. It was a perfect location to see the quiet hamlets of Franklin, Silva, and Dilboro. We also saw several waterfalls in the area.
