Looking to recharge in the mountains? Hop onto I-70 to experience breathtaking hikes and views within an hour. One of Colorado's main draws is Rocky Mountain National Park, which makes for a great day trip. Drive a little over an hour through a dramatic canyon for a day of hiking, sightseeing, and wildlife viewing. Depending on your destination, skiing is 1-3 hours away. Locals head to Echo Mountain, Eldora (near Boulder), or Loveland (near Georgetown) for a more low-key experience. We're also within a couple of hours of Arapahoe Basin, Breckenridge, and Copper Mountain.

This location is the perfect jumping-off point for exploring the best of Denver and the Rockies! But, of course, it's impossible to see everything in one visit, so we look forward to hosting you again after you fall in love with Mile High Life.

Getting Around:
Navigating the Cole neighborhood in Denver is convenient, thanks to various transportation options. This area is also highly walkable so makes an excellent location for strolling!

Public Transit: Denver has an efficient public transit system operated by RTD (Regional Transportation District). Bus routes pass through or near Whittier, providing easy access to downtown Denver and other parts of the city.

Biking: Denver is a bike-friendly city, and Whittier is no exception. The neighborhood has bike lanes, making it easy for cyclists to explore the area. Denver B-cycle, a bike-sharing program, may also offer a convenient way to get around.

Ridesharing: Services like Uber and Lyft operate in Denver, providing a convenient and quick way to travel within the city. Simply use the apps to request a ride to your desired destination.

Car: Cole is easily accessible by car, and parking is generally available. If you have a vehicle, you can explore nearby attractions and neighborhoods at your own pace. Keep in mind that parking conditions may vary, so be mindful of any parking regulations.

If you've never been to Denver, getting oriented is easy. The Rocky Mountains are to the West, and Downtown is South of where you will be staying. I-70 West will take you into the mountains and straight to the ski areas, while you can hop on I-25 to access Fort Collins to the North and Colorado Springs to the South. The 36 takes you to Boulder and eventually the Rocky Mountain National Park gateway towns of Lyons and Estes Park.

family meetup

Our family gathered in Denver from all over the country for an overdue reunion. This well curated home offered a multigenerational part of the family a quiet retreat at the end of each day. A huge bonus was the use of a locked garage for off street parking and a fenced yard for our two canine family members to sun bathe safety in.

We enjoyed the house and the neighborhood. It was nice that the snow was shoveled in front on the few occasions when we had a snowfall. Just a couple of things kept us from giving it 5 stars, and I think these things would probably not be an issue for someone staying a shorter time (we were there for 5 weeks). There were no available closets in the bedrooms, just a dresser in one and a rack with some hangers in the other. It was great to have a garage, but it would have been helpful to have a remote for the door. And there was no key for the back door to the house or the people door to the garage. I understand that renters may lose those things and cause a problem for the owner, but it was an inconvenience for us. We really liked the keypad entry to the front door. Nice neighbors, and we would stay there again.

Lovely little house

We had a nice stay in this cute little house in a quiet neighborhood near some very fun parts of Denver. The kitchen was fully equipped, including helpful things like extra trash bags and pellets for the little dishwasher. There's a washer-dryer too. And a big TV, with which we could connect with our own streaming services and then - helpfully - turn off when we left. We enjoyed living here. The only thing I would suggest is a new couch - it is very hard, very low, and has a deep seam in it - all told, not a comfy couch for after our daily wanderings in Denver. But I'd still very much recommend this place.

Property was as described and the check-in / check out was flawless. The property was perfect for our needs. It could have been a great stay if the owner/mgmt company had taken care of several minor and easily addressable maintenance issues which were communicated to the mgmt company. Would not hesitate staying at this property.

Pet friendly, good spot for home base while exploring

Overall impression is good for what we needed this to be. In town for just a couple days, but had a 7mth old German shorthair puppy with us. This place worked out well for him to be able to get his energy out outside. Beds were extremely comfortable. Small things needed to be cleaned and the weeds needed weeding but overall great spot and recommend it to anyone.

Great location in a historic property in RiNo

The RiNo property was very conveniently located in north Denver - very quick access to downtown, Cap Hill, Park Hill, and RiNo. Wonderful to have a garage for secure parking! Very walkable neighborhood. Extremely comfortable bed and nice fenced backyard. Completely updated, historic property. There was also a detailed description of things to do in the area that was useful. The management team was very accessible, responding right away. Would stay here again!

Good stay

We enjoyed our stay and the home had all of the amenities we would ever need. We liked having the lovely fenced back yard and it was short walk to places we came to see. Communication was easy. Parking was tricky with even a small SUV in the one car garage.
