Welcome to your classic Tahoe cabin in beautiful Carnelian Bay! This 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom getaway sleeps up to 8 guests and has everything you need for a cozy Tahoe vacation, including an outdoor area, a ping pong table for some games, and a beautiful deck area to enjoy each morning while you sip your coffee and plan out your day. Experience the comforts of home, no matter how far away you’ve traveled from, in this beautiful cabin that’s only steps away from the lake.

The Space:
Upon entering this beautifully-decorated classic Tahoe home, you’ll immediately be blown away by the warm and inviting interior. Not only is the downstairs living room equipped with a large L-shaped couch and a cozy recliner for you and your guests to utilize, but there’s also a wood-burning stove for you to warm yourself in front of after a long day of Tahoe activities.

Step on into the charming kitchen area, where you’ll find everything you need to craft the perfect meal, including a stainless steel LG fridge, a dishwasher, and a bar seating area with room for 2 guests. The dining area is also just steps away, featuring space for up to 4 of your friends and family to sit and enjoy a meal. There’s also a washer and dryer on the main floor, making it easier than ever to launder your clothes while you’re on vacation.

The bedrooms in this home may be small, but their charm and coziness more than makes up for the space. In the first downstairs bedroom, you’ll find a queen-sized bed surrounded by warm, wooden furnishing. A second downstairs bedroom is perfect for the kids, with two twin-sized bunk beds and a gorgeous view out of the window. Upstairs, the master bedroom is truly the highlight of this home, featuring a queen-sized bed and easy balcony access through the French doors so you can enjoy Tahoe nature anytime. In the master bathroom you’ll find a Jacuzzi-style tub surrounded by inspiring decor along with a walk-in shower and a one-of-a-kind vanity area with a stone sink.

Along with all the other amenities of this home, there’s even a second living room on the second floor, which features futon for your extra guests along with a small workstation for you to complete all of your WFH tasks at. The WiFi speed is 190 Mbps. You can also have a good time with your friends and family with the ping pong table, located in the garage.

Carnelian West Beach is just a 13-minute walk away, while Tahoe Vista’s shops and eateries are only a 3-minute drive away. For those interested in skiing or boarding, Northstar California Resort is just a 12-minute drive away from this home as well.

Getting Around:
Whether you rent a car, bring your own, or are relying on public transportation, this Carnelian Bay cabin is in the perfect spot for you to do so. The nearest bus stop is only a 4-minute walk away, allowing you to access all of Tahoe’s amenities, from Northstar California Resort to the Crystal Bay Casino.

Lyft and Uber are also available as well.

Other Things to Note:
Please note that while there is 1 covered parking space in the garage, the garage is very small and short on space, so we recommend parking very small cars only in the garage. Anything larger can fit in the driveway.

Charcoal grills are strictly forbidden in this county and will result in a $1,500 citation if used.

4-wheel drive or 2-wheel drive tires with snow chains may be necessary for safe travel to this property, even if it hasn’t snowed in a few days.

We absolutely had a wonderful time. Cabin was clean and perfect for our family. Open design of kitchen was perfect, no one felt left out of conversation. Kitchen was well stocked, we were able to make several meals and thanksgiving meal. The feeling of Alofa (Love) was felt. The host LocalVR was helpful and quick with response to questions. Thanks again for the Aiga (Family) memories.

Woodsy and comfy

Sweet little woodsy cabin. Homey decor, pleasant and comfortable. We felt like we had been transported back in time to the 1970s retro Lake Tahoe. Great bathrooms, large washer and dryer were nice. Kitchen is well appointed with everything needed. Only suggestion would be larger coffee pot! And a carpet shampoo.

Quaint and fun

The cabin had everything necessary to have a comfortable stay. Lots of artistic touches and beautiful wood carving in the doors. There is a nice dog beach about 10 minute walk away. All the clients worked well. Instructions for using the cable And Smart TV were clear.. The Only drawback of this beautiful cabin close proximity to a busy road. But, the house was well soundproof. The host was incredibly responsive 20 questions we had.

Wonderful stay

We couldn’t have had a better experience! The property manager was always prompt about getting back to you for any reason. The location was ideal, especially if you have dogs as there is a dog beach very close. The only small issue is the number of remotes for the television/sound system; perhaps a few helpful hints would be nice. But otherwise the place is ideal; highly recommend it!

Carnelian Bay Cozy Home

Very cozy home and the location is excellent. Within walking distance of Waterman's, and Gar for dining and Carnelian's dog beach for the pup and kids. Our host was great at communicating and giving directions. We enjoyed the house and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again or recommend this property. We did have two minor gripes. But it should be noted that the house is in a very outdoorsy and forested culdesac. 1. We found a dead mouse in a mouse trap under the sink. It smelled pretty bad and we had to air out the house and clean it. It looked like it had been there for a few days. I'm thinking the house was cleaned a few days before we arrived and the trap was still empty. 2. The house is dark. Used a flashlight to go to and from the car in the front/lower driveway. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay and I would recommend staying at this property.

Not a Hygiene place to stay

Lynn is a great host and very responsive, but the property and the furniture inside the property has lot of dust. Deep cleaning is much required. Our family went for a weekend to Tahoe to have a pleasant experience, but came back with huge disappointment. Three of our family fell sick with dust allergies and sore throat. I won’t recommend this place.

Lynn is a great host!

We had an excellent first day here! It was a lovely cabin. Unfortunately, there was night construction going on all night that made continuing our stay impossible. Lynn was very understanding and worked with Vrbo to get us a full refund. We will definitely try to come and stay at the cabin again in the future!

Great place for an R&R weekend

We had a wonderful time at the property. It was well equipped for a small group, with plenty of parking, beds, and lounging space. The kitchen had everything we needed since we cooked all our meals, and we loved how the beach was only a short walk away. It's an especially great space if you want to just stay in and hang out. We would definitely stay again.

Such a great gem

Lynn’s property is so cute and cozy. We had the best time here. The kitchen is well-equipped, the rooms are well-sized, and the bathrooms were super nice. There are two driveways— in total, 3 cars fit (without putting one in the garage). The location is unbelievable. Only 15 min drive to Northstar if you’re skiing, 10 min drive to Kings Beach. Would definitely stay here again.

The home was warm and cozy. The towels and pillows were newer and fluffy. The bed was comfortable but slightly sunken in the middle. Kitchen had everything we needed for basic meals. Property located right off the main road making it easily accessible even in winter. The bathrooms are in good condition, but note the stall shower floors are made of river rock so kids may have trouble standing on it. The tub is a good alternative for kids.

Cozy Carnelian Bay Cabin

This cabin was super comfortable and cozy. It has lots of kitchen supplies, which made it convenient to cook/prepare meals. It's about a 15 minute drive to Northstar, which made it convenient to go skiing/snowboarding. I'd recommend this place for any families looking to hang out in north Lake Tahoe!

Storm of the century

We couldn’t be happier with this booking. We had planned for a holiday get together. First off it’s kind with the people involved. Then it snowed 15’ and no one was able to make it up to Tahoe safely. We were in co start communication with the owner. She was more than understanding. We will definitely be booking with her again in the future.

Charming Touches, Equipped Kitchen, Central Location

This was a beautiful, clean cabin with many handcrafted touches. Kitchen has plenty of cooking equipment. Central location close to town, kings beach. It is on a main road, not secluded, but didn’t notice any traffic noises. My only complaint is that a neighbor came over and accused us of deconstructing her retaining wall, which we did not do but still got charged for the damages. So be careful of the neighbor to the back of the cabin, crazy person. Other than that it was a nice stay.
