„Das Appartement war sehr modern und schön ausgestattet. Alles da was man braucht. So richtig zum Wohlfühlen. Bei der Buchung sollte man sich nur im Klaren sein, daß Hatteras sehr weit im Süden der Outer Banks liegt. Wenn man Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit sucht - perfekt. Die Fahrt in den nördlichen Teil der Outer Banks zieht sich ziemlich. Also gut überlegen was man bei einem Aufenthalt dort tun möchte. The Villas at Hatteras Landing ist als Unterkunft wunderschön. “

The house was spacious and accommodated our group of 13; however, the house is in need of updating. The dryer went out during our stay but was repaired but all appliances need to be upgraded. „Die Ferienanlage ist sehr großzügig und liegt direkt am Atlantik. In der Anlage gibt es zwei Pools, Tennisplätze, Shuffleboards, Grillplätze, Beachbar, Entertainment, uvm. Unsere Unterkunft war groß, gut ausgestattet, aber leicht schmutzig. Dies kann aber auch vom Hurrikan "Irene" herkommen. Unser Gesamteindruck war wirklich gut, die Outer Banks sind immer einen Urlaub, eine Woche ist ausreichend, wert.“

„Seems strange but the property was all but empty, off season, yet the room above us was booked with noisy guests and we were put in a room with a parking lot view when better views were available. Upgrading rooms…good thing but was not a bother to us. Some upgrades were done in our condo which were very nice!“

However, lack of kitchen essentials, grass not being cut, and some areas of house need more attention to detail (Bathroom had some minor mold in tub and on shower liner. The air vents need to be cleaned as it was dusty.) Other than these minor discrepancies, the house is close to beach, main road, grocery store etc. The neighborhood was quite. The size of house had more than enough room for us 2 people.“

Do patrol the spacious fenced in yard on the lookout for sandspurs (didn't find one) and prickly pear (one little cluster about ¾ the way down the north fence). „We loved being on Ocracoke in early April. The cabin was convenient and the deck was a great place to hang out and breathe the fresh air. We especially enjoyed our morning coffee out there. We were able to walk to all of the sites we wanted to see. I would recommend this host.“

„Die Lage ist super, da direkt am Strand. Das Gebäude an sich ist sehr herunter gekommen, teils wohl auch wegen der Nähe zum Salzwasser. Dafür war das Zimmer sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet / gepflegt. Besonders war die Mitarbeiterin an der Rezeption - die netteste während unserer ganzen USA-Reise. Das Motel ist außerdem ganz nahe an der Gebr. Wright Gedendstätte.“
