„We traveled to Franconia, NH to be near the 100% zone if the solar eclipse. The property was beautiful, clean and welcoming. There were 4 large bedrooms, an eat-in kitchen, 2 living areas and a big porch. We woke to the view of one of the nearby mountains and the yard was large enough for us to practice some snow shoeing. „We had a wonderful stay at the cozy Kilburn cottage, originally a sheep barn turned into workers housing in the 40s. We are very familiar with this beautiful area so knew where we were going and the setting. The attached ‘cottage’ at the Inns rear wing is charming and was just what we needed for visiting family nearby. It had all we needed for the 3 adults staying over and a family visitor for dinner. „We went up to this area to do some skiing at Mount Sunapee. This cottage is close to the mountain, We wanted a dog friendly listing. This was perfect for our 3 labs and their crates and 3 adults. The mud room entrance is awesome for keeping the cottage clean and storing ski/snowboard boots. The cottage is beautifully decorated (like out of a magazine) and seems “like-new”. „We stayed here for one night as a very quick getaway. It was cheaper than hotel rooms. House was clean and worked for the one night. Bathrooms are both downstairs so upstairs bedrooms have to go down to use one. Front yard was a little slippery after the snow. Getting to the porch was a bit of a challenge. We all had our own rooms tho so that was really nice.“
