„Schönes, stylisches Zimmer. Sehr gutes Bett. Alles sehr Benutzerfreundlich arrangiert. Nachteil ist der Verkehrslärm. Das Hotel liegt praktisch direkt an einer Kreuzung. Dafür ist die Metro Station keine 100 m entfernt.“

„Die Lage der Unterkunft war super und das Personal nett. Ich finde schade, dass es keine Möglichkeit gibt, seinen Koffer vernünftig zu verstauen. Der Schlafsaal steht voll mot Gepäck. Auch finde ich den Duschraum etwas klein für so viele Personen. Alles in allem dennoch eine gute Unterkunft :-)“

„My favorite part of my 21 day journey was Kyoto and the Banyan Tree Higashiyama. The hotel was perfectly located and the check in was enjoyable. My room was stunning and a wonderful refuge after spending the day waking and hiking around the sacred temples of Kyoto. I liked how I could customize my room with the screens and the different lighting options in the room. Breakfast was perfectly presented each morning. “

The location was also great: near a subway line and also close to the philosophers walk. Lawsons downstairs also helped This is a place for travelers who want higher end accomodations but don't need onsite facilities like a restaurant “

„If you are staying in the Gion area of Kyoto this hotel is a perfect choice. It was one of the highlights of our 2 weeks in Japan. Yasakahan is perfectly situated in the heart of Gion. Everything is walkable. The facilities are excellent - the foot bath and shower/spa is great. Absolutely loved the decor. You really felt like this was your little piece of Kyoto for a few days. “

The bed was firm, the shower strong and the amenities were decent for our five night stay. One of the things we liked most about the hotel was its lobby and lounge area, with picture windows taking in the river and autumn leaves and books to enjoy on a cold afternoon.
