This Old Florida-style beach house in the popular Gulf Beaches neighborhood features unobstructed views of the Gulf, private swimming pool, charming coastal décor, plenty of open and covered outdoor spaces, and best of all is just a short walk to the award-winning sugar sand beaches of St. George Island. A Summer Salt is pet friendly, so bring the whole family!

Explore the Island on the nearby bicycle path, or splash in the Gulf of Mexico and look for shells. A Summer Salt is close to Island shops, restaurants, nightlife, St. George Lighthouse Museum and playground, fishing pier, and State Park. Just across the bridge, Eastpoint’s craft brewery and seafood markets offer local flavors. Apalachicola’s happening shopping, culinary, arts and entertainment scene is just 30 minutes by car.

EXTERIOR AMENITIES

Located on a corner lot in a fabulous central location, the exterior of this property offers a private swimming pool with covered seating, picnic table, and refrigerator. Other outside amenities include outdoor shower, fish cleaning area, and park-style grill, perfect for cookouts with family and friends!

INTERIOR TOUR

This property offers one-level living with fantastic Gulf views and two living spaces. There is plenty of comfortable seating, tile floors and flat screen TVs in both living areas, so your crew will have plenty of options for gathering together and being apart.

The updated kitchen has granite counters, reverse-osmosis drinking water system, Keurig coffee maker, and plenty of space to prepare coastal feasts. A second refrigerator in the smaller living area is great for stocking snacks and drinks for your crew.

The West king bedroom with flat screen TV and West queen bedroom with flat screen TV share the West full bathroom. Two East queen bedrooms with flat screen TVs share a hallway and the East full bathroom. All bedrooms boast warm hardwood floors.

Great for families!

The house was well laid out with bedrooms on the ends of the house and centrally located family areas. The kitchen was open enough to allow the family to gather while dinner was being prepared. The outside areas are thoughtfully laid out. I loved the location to the beach and the center of the island.

A summer salt

Not just for summer. We enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room for the entire family. Needs a little more outside lighting. Deck lights not working and stairs lights need replaced. But overall a wonderful experience. Watch the sunrise and sunset from the deck.

Best Spot on SGI!

Pictures don’t do this house justice. The yard is so dog friendly, the pool, the views, it’s like you are almost on the beach. We really liked the two separate living areas - nice to spread out but we were all on one level. We loved the yard area. The picnic table is a great place to play games by the pool in a shaded area. The laundry area has a separate toilet which we didn’t discovery until day 4. It’s really a wonderful house and location. The property management company was great and communicated well. Hurricane Helene ruined the Washer and dryer - and when they discovered it wasn’t reparable, the owners had new ones installed midweek. They didn’t have to do that and we appreciated it. We will be repeat guests but I have to find out when fall break is next year before I book! Thank you for a wonderful week.

This is a great house and the layout and location are perfect for our needs. There had apparently been a roof leak. The ceiling in one bedroom was falling in, drywall and drywall tape was hanging. Another bedroom and hall ceiling stained and in need of patching and painting

Best Water on the Beach ;)

This property is a pet lover's dream. Multiple fenced in and gated areas for the dogs to run and play while everyone else also enjoys the outdoors, large covered areas, great patio, and private pool! Walking to the beach couldn't be easier and made our first attempt at "2nd row" feel just as easy as ocean front. We really enjoy SGI and this property is another gem that we will certainly consider for future trips! The whole house filter/softener made showers and cleaning even better. The R/O system at the sink may have been malfunctioning as it only came out in t trickle, but we lined up pitchers and filled them regularly. Delicious and no need to buy 100s of plastic bottles! One note, the kitchen is well equipped but there was not even salt and pepper for cooking. Be sure to bring your own if you plan on cooking.

Nice location

First off this home totally satisfied my family and I. The pool was too cold due to the temps so we didn’t use it. The rooms were decent but the furniture a bit worn/aged and the king mattress had definitely made a lot of previous memories. There was a Kuerig coffee maker but we’d only brought regular & the only other maker was a tiny one. Dishes were adequate as were the cutlery and pots/pans. Decor is beachy which made it really cute but again, items were well loved & worn. Layout is odd as 2 halves so to speak. One side has 2 bedrooms, bath, kitchen and living area. There is a double door that can completely close that part of the house off. The other side has 2 bedrooms, living room, a “bar” of sorts with a full sized fridge. There’s a broken table with no top & curious why it would be there. Deck was well worn and one of us got a big splinter from the split wood but wearing sandals took care of it. The mini blinds in the king bedroom had busted slats which allowed light through at night and the rooms on the kitchen side had a definite “slant” in the floor. Please don’t take this as a negative review because the location of this home is great with a fantastic view of the gulf without the beachfront price. The walk across to the beach is a few steps and overall this home was just fine for us. I would rent it again but in warmer weather for use of the pool.

Great week in St. George Island

Property was great! Lots of space, inside and outside. It had everything you needed to get your week started - toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dish washer detergent, trash bags, towels, etc! Location to the beach is very convenient, & you can see the ocean fine from the top deck. We had some issues with the bottom lights & the property manager had electricians out the next day & they were fixed. I don’t know the woman’s name I spoke with but she was VERY attentive. Much appreciated. They also had someone there mid-week to check / clean the pool! My ONLY complaint was dog hair. St, George Island is very dog friendly… I believe the people who stayed before us had a dog. The couches were covered with hair & there was a lot of dog hair still on the floor. The property had a broom & vacuum which I was thankful for! After a good floor cleaning, we were good to go :) I feel had I reached out about it, the property manager would have had someone there to clean it up, but it wasn’t a huge deal. HIGHLY recommend this property.
