We had mixed feelings about this rental after reading the reviews, but ultimately, we were seeking affordable lodging—and we certainly got that. The apartment itself is spacious, but it is in desperate need of updating. The carpets, especially in the bedrooms, were in poor condition—worn and stained, which made us hesitant to take off our shoes. The furniture, including the bathroom vanities and mirrors, showed significant signs of wear and tear. It wouldn’t take much for the owner to replace the carpet and refresh some of the furnishings to make the space more comfortable. On the positive side, the laundry room was conveniently located just down the hall. However, the elevators were slow, so we ended up using the stairs most of the time. The gym was terrible, old and broken equipment, no treadmill so we chose to drive to a private fitness facility nearby instead. As for the location, it’s a bit removed from the busy areas, which is great if you're looking for peace and quiet. However, it’s not particularly convenient to grocery stores, coffee shops, or restaurants, so having a car was definitely a plus.In summary, if you're looking for an affordable place and don’t mind staying out of the action, this rental offers great value. However, if you’re looking for a more modern space or a location closer to South Beach amenities, you might want to consider other options.
