A place
I assume the area we stayed in was an expensive area. We chose the cheapest option and it proved to be such. The table was broken and wobbled (we tried to tighten it ourselves). The windows on the ceiling seemed like they leek (evident water damage) so when rain was in the forecast I was nervous. The rug was stained and needed vacuuming. All the blankets and comforter were disgustingly dirty or stained. The outlet in the bathroom came out of the wall. The aroma of sewage greets you at the front door but luckily only wafts up to the apartment at night. Although I don’t require a TV, we did want a night in and found that we could only get local tv stations and were not able to access the internet or connect to any devices. The management company was unresponsive to my previous message through vrbo and I didn’t hear from them until the morning we arrived which resulted in myself and my 76 year old mother standing on a busy street with poor service trying to satisfy the multistep process of payment (even though I already gave VRBO my credit card) and check in all the while friendly passers by were warning us of pick pockets. The management company said they emailed me a month prior with this check in information but that was not true. I do not have an email from them. I told them about the apartment condition and they said they would make a note and it was in no way a hinderance to getting our deposit back. The apartment is in a very convenient location. It’s a place.
