Known as "Wash Park," this park features two lakes, beautiful flower gardens, tree-lined paths, and sprawling green spaces. I-70 West will take you into the mountains and straight to the ski areas, while you can hop on I-25 to access Fort Collins to the North and Colorado Springs to the South. The 36 takes you to Boulder and eventually the Rocky Mountain National Park gateway towns of Lyons and Estes Park. Downtown Golden is a highly walkable city. Clear Creek Trails, Washington Avenue, and the historic 12th Street neighborhood are great locations to stroll. A car is recommended if you will be exploring the mountains. For those without a car, there is convenient public transport with nearby bus stations, or Uber/Lyft to reach destinations in and around Golden.
