Koukaki is situated at the base of Filopappos Hill and is primarily a residential and safe area (the local police station is just across the road to our apartment). In spite of its close proximity to the many ancient monuments and museums, Koukaki retains its local colour and, for this reason, it is a much sought-after location for visitors. The area has a variety of supermarkets, cafés, restaurants, launderette/dry cleaners, hairdressers etc. literally around the corner.

Any planned excursions to historic sites and museums can be made on foot in less than 15 minutes.
